SEC. 241-a74. Miscellaneous documents.<br />

1 There shall be published, printed and bound uniform with the<br />

2 <strong>of</strong>ficial reports unless otherwise provided, and at the periods indicated,<br />

3 the following miscellaneous documents, each <strong>of</strong> which shall be com-<br />

4 piled by the head or secretary <strong>of</strong> the department having charge there<strong>of</strong>,<br />

5 and shall be subject to the following limitations, to wit :<br />

8. Report on assessment <strong>of</strong> telegraph and telephone property, annually.<br />

9. <strong>State</strong> census <strong>of</strong> <strong>Iowa</strong>, when taken and compiled<br />

10. Report <strong>of</strong> geological survey, annually<br />

SEC. 241-a75. Other necessary publications.<br />

1 There shall be published other miscellaneous documents, reports,<br />

2 bulletins, books and booklets that are needed for the use <strong>of</strong> the various<br />

3 <strong>of</strong>ficials and departments <strong>of</strong> state, or are <strong>of</strong> value for the information<br />

4 <strong>of</strong> the general assembly or the public, in form and number most useful<br />

5 and convenient, to be determined by the printing board.<br />

SEC. 241-a76. Governor may fix filing date.<br />

1 The governor shall have the right to fix a date for the completion<br />

2 <strong>of</strong> or filing <strong>of</strong> any copy or manuscript for any miscellaneous document<br />

3 or other publication, or for any portion <strong>of</strong> the manuscript, and to<br />

4 compel compliance with such orders the same as in the case <strong>of</strong> the<br />

5 <strong>of</strong>ficial reports. The superintendent <strong>of</strong> printing shall report to the<br />

6 governor any failure to furnish manuscript or other delay affecting<br />

7 any publication.<br />

SEC. 241-a77. Title pages—complimentary insertions prohibited.<br />

1 The superintendent <strong>of</strong> printing shall provide the necessary print-<br />

2 er's copy for a suitable title page for each publication requiring such<br />

3 title which shall contain the name <strong>of</strong> the author, but no such title shall<br />

4 have written or printed thereon or attached thereto the words "Com-<br />

5 pliments <strong>of</strong>" followed by the name <strong>of</strong> the author, nor any other words<br />

6 <strong>of</strong> similar import.<br />
