SEC. 241-a64. Time <strong>of</strong> filing reports.<br />

1 The <strong>of</strong>ficial reports shall be filed with the governor as soon as<br />

2 practicable after the end <strong>of</strong> the reporting period, and except as other-<br />

3 wise provided, not later than the first day <strong>of</strong> the following September.<br />

4 At the time <strong>of</strong> filing with the governor, a duplicate shall be filed with<br />

5 the printing board.<br />

SEC. 241-a65. Governor may grant extension.<br />

1 The governor shall have authority to grant an extension <strong>of</strong> time<br />

2 for the completion <strong>of</strong> any report or any portion there<strong>of</strong>, but in the<br />

3 case <strong>of</strong> any delay deemed by him to be unnecessary or unreasonable<br />

4 he shall enforce the provisions <strong>of</strong> the preceding section as to time <strong>of</strong><br />

5 filing and take v/hatever steps may be necessary to have the delayed<br />

6 report prepared for filing.<br />

SEC. 241-a66. Beport <strong>of</strong> attorney general, commissioner <strong>of</strong> insurance<br />

and auditor.<br />

1 The report <strong>of</strong> the attorney general shall cover the period <strong>of</strong> his<br />

2 regular term and he may have until the conclusion <strong>of</strong> the term to file<br />

3 the portions <strong>of</strong> the record not available September first. The report<br />

4 <strong>of</strong> the insurance commissioner shall be due on May first <strong>of</strong> each year.<br />

5 The report <strong>of</strong> the auditor on municipal finances shall be filed on or<br />

6 before August first <strong>of</strong> each year.<br />

SEC. 241-a67. Number <strong>of</strong> copies—general style.<br />

1 The annual and biennial reports shall be published, printed and<br />

2 bound in such number as the board <strong>of</strong> printing may order, not exceed-<br />

3 ing the number otherwise specified in this chapter. The <strong>of</strong>ficials and<br />

4 heads <strong>of</strong> departments shall furnish the printing board with informa-<br />

5 tion necessary to determine the number <strong>of</strong> copies to be printed. They<br />

6 shall be printed on good paper, in legible type with pages substantially<br />

7 six inches by nine inches in size. They may be divided for binding<br />

8 where one portion should receive larger distribution than another, or<br />

9 be issued in parts or sections for greater convenience.<br />

SEC. 241-a68. <strong>Iowa</strong> documents.<br />

1 At the time <strong>of</strong> printing the <strong>of</strong>ficial reports there shall also be<br />

2 printed from the same type or plates an edition <strong>of</strong> not less than one<br />

3 thousand copies to be grouped together and bound in volumes <strong>of</strong> con-<br />

4 venient size to be known as the <strong>Iowa</strong> documents, <strong>of</strong> which there shall<br />

5 be one edition for each biennial period. Each volume as thus grouped<br />

6 shall contain a table <strong>of</strong> contents <strong>of</strong> all the volumes. There shall be<br />

7 included in the <strong>Iowa</strong> documents, in addition to the <strong>of</strong>ficial reports, the<br />

8 inaugural address and the message and budget <strong>of</strong> the governor.<br />
