governor, who shall, by an order indorsed thereon, direct the payment<br />

<strong>of</strong> the same, and the auditor <strong>of</strong> state shall issue a warrant on the<br />

treasury for the amount, which shall be paid with any money not<br />

otherwise appropriated, and when paid to the sheriff or person entitled<br />

thereto, the state, through its proper <strong>of</strong>ficer or agent, may enter on<br />

the premises and construct the desired work.<br />

SEC. 4968-al. County fair society—real estate—acquisition <strong>of</strong>.<br />

1 Any incorporated county fair society, county agricultural asso-<br />

2 ciation, or district agricultural associations shall have the power to<br />

3 acquire real estate for the necessary and convenient use <strong>of</strong> such so-<br />

4 ciety or association in the same manner as is provided by law for tak-<br />

5 ing private property for works <strong>of</strong> internal improvement in this<br />

6 chapter.<br />

SEC. 4970-al. Courthouses—jails—reversion <strong>of</strong> lands.<br />

1 When lands that have been condemned and taken under sections<br />

2 forty-nine hundred sixty-nine and forty-nine hundred seventy <strong>of</strong> the<br />

3 compiled code and under section twenty-eight hundred eighty-eight <strong>of</strong><br />

4 this supplement and not used for the purpose herein specified for the<br />

5 period <strong>of</strong> five consecutive years, such lands shall then revert to the<br />

6 owner or owners <strong>of</strong> the tract from which it was taken.<br />
