STATE PRINTING BOARD.<br />

SECTION 241-al. <strong>State</strong> printing board.<br />

1 A state printing board, hereinafter referred to as "the printing<br />

2 board", is hereby created. Said board shall be composed <strong>of</strong> the secre-<br />

3, tary <strong>of</strong> state, auditor <strong>of</strong> state, attorney general and <strong>of</strong> two appointive<br />

4 members to be appointed by the governor.<br />

SEC. 241-a2. Appointive members—qualifications.<br />

1 The appointive members <strong>of</strong> said board shall be residents <strong>of</strong> this<br />

2 state, <strong>of</strong> good moral character, and shall have had at least five years'<br />

3 actual experience in the printing trade.<br />

SEC. 241 -a3. Financial interest prohibited.<br />

1 No member <strong>of</strong> said board shall be financially interested, directly<br />

2 or indirectly, in any plant or business in which work is performed,<br />

3 under the provisions <strong>of</strong> this and the two following chapters <strong>of</strong> this<br />

4 title, for the state, nor shall he be so interested in any contract let<br />

5 under said chapters.<br />

SEC. 241-a4. Term <strong>of</strong> <strong>of</strong>fice.<br />

1 The term <strong>of</strong> each appointive member shall commence on the first<br />

2 day <strong>of</strong> July <strong>of</strong> the year <strong>of</strong> appointment, and shall be for two years,<br />

3 except that appointees to fill vacancies shall serve from the date <strong>of</strong><br />

4 appointment and qualification and for the unexpired term.<br />

SEC. 241-a5. Compensation.<br />

1 The appointive members shall' receive a compensation <strong>of</strong> ten dol-<br />

2 lars and actual expenses for each day actually employed hereunder in<br />

3 the business <strong>of</strong> the state.<br />

SEC. 241-a6. Duties.<br />

1 The printing board shall:<br />

2 1. Let contracts, except as provided in section two hundred<br />

3 forty-one-a twenty-eight <strong>of</strong> this supplement, for all printing for all<br />

4 state <strong>of</strong>fices, departments, boards and commissions when the cost <strong>of</strong><br />

5 such printing is payable out <strong>of</strong> any taxes, fees, licenses or funds col-<br />

6 lected for state purposes.<br />

7 2. Direct the manner, form, style and quantity <strong>of</strong> all public<br />

8 printing when such matters are not otherwise expressly prescribed<br />

9 by law.<br />

10 3. Employ and discharge all assistants necessary to enable the<br />

11 board to perform its duties and determine the compensation <strong>of</strong> such<br />

12 assistants when not otherwise determined by law.<br />

13 4. Prescribe rules, not inconsistent with law, for the conduct <strong>of</strong><br />

14 its business.
