119 Trailers with capacity of 2 tons, but not exceed-

121 All motor trucks, trailers, and motor vehicles used for other
122 than the conveyance of passengers and the personal effects of said
123 passengers shall have attached thereto a conspicuous metal plate giv-
124 ing the actual weight of the vehicle equipped and weight of loading
125 capacity as specified by the manufacturer or maker and no license
126 shall be issued until the vehicle is so equipped. Any person violating
127 any of the provisions of this section shall be deemed guilty of a mis-
128 demeanor, and upon conviction, shall be subject to a fine of not less
129 than five dollars nor more than fifty dollars for the first and second
130 offenses. Upon a third conviction, the department shall have author-
131 ity to cancel the certificate of registration and call in the number
132 plates and a new license shall not be issued for any such motor ve-
133 hiele for a period of one year.

NOTE: 39 G. A., ch. 159, § 6, amended subdivision five of the above section
by inserting after the word "passengers" in the second line of the last paragraph
of said subdivision the words "and the personal effects of said passengers". 39
G. A., ch. 253, § 1, repealed subdivision five and enacted a substitute therefore
without reenacting the amendment already made by chapter 159. The last paragraph
of the substitute, however, is an exact reenactment of the last paragraph
of the repealed subdivision five and the amendment contained in chapter 159 has
been applied in the above section to the substitute enacted by chapter 253. Chapter
159 took effect by publication and chapter 253 on July 4, 1921.
