SEC. 173-a4. Printing <strong>of</strong> code and annotations—continuation <strong>of</strong><br />

editing.<br />

1 The slugs, monotype or linotype matter shall be <strong>of</strong> the same style<br />

2 "as the supplemental supplement, 1915, and they shall be preserved as<br />

3 the property <strong>of</strong> the state so that by correction <strong>of</strong> same from time to<br />

4 time the code and book <strong>of</strong> annotations may be successively printed as<br />

5 edited to date. That the code editor shall continue the editing <strong>of</strong> the<br />

6 code and book <strong>of</strong> annotations after each general assembly so that the<br />

7 code and annotations may be printed from time to time as ordered by<br />

8 the general assembly to meet all demands for the same.<br />

9 The linotype slugs set for the supplemental supplement, 1915, and<br />

10 now owned by the state, shall be used for the code and book <strong>of</strong> anno-<br />

11 tations.<br />

12 The printing <strong>of</strong> the code and book <strong>of</strong> annotations shall be from<br />

13 electrotype plates and not from the linotype slugs direct, and the elec-<br />

14 trotype plates need not be preserved. The type face used for the body<br />

15 <strong>of</strong> the code shall be ten point century expanded and the type face<br />

16 used for the body <strong>of</strong> the book <strong>of</strong> annotations shall be eight point num-<br />

17 ber two, fourteen and forty-one one-hundredths ems, or one hundred<br />

18 fifteen and twenty-eight one-hundredths points, to the lower case<br />

19 alphabet.<br />

SEC. 173-a5. Appropriation for code and annotation work.<br />

1 There is hereby appropriated out <strong>of</strong> any money in the state treas-<br />

2 ury not otherwise appropriated such sum or sums as may be necessary<br />

3 to carry out the provisions <strong>of</strong> the four preceding sections.<br />

SEC. 175. Assistants—appropriation.<br />

1 The reporter <strong>of</strong> the supreme court may, by and with the consent<br />

2 <strong>of</strong> the supreme court, employ assistants and clerical help at such com-<br />

3 pensation as may be fixed by the supreme court, and there is appro-<br />

4 priated out <strong>of</strong> the treasury <strong>of</strong> <strong>Iowa</strong> from moneys not otherwise appro-<br />

5 priated the sum <strong>of</strong> eight thousand dollars per annum to be used for<br />

6 the purpose <strong>of</strong> carrying out the provisions <strong>of</strong> this chapter.<br />
