SECTION 2748. Medical librarian.<br />

1 For the purpose <strong>of</strong> carrying out the provisions <strong>of</strong> this chapter, the<br />

2 state librarian shall appoint an expert librarian trained in medicine<br />

3 and surgery and in the languages in which medical and surgical litera-<br />

4 ture is most commonly written and published.<br />

SECTION 2775. Compensation and expenses—appropriation.<br />

1 No member <strong>of</strong> the commission shall ever receive any compensa-<br />

2 tion for services as a member, but the traveling expenses <strong>of</strong> members<br />

3 in attending meetings <strong>of</strong> the commission, or in visiting or establishing<br />

4 libraries and other incidental and necessary expenses connected with<br />

5 the work <strong>of</strong> the commission, shall be paid, including the necessary ex-<br />

6 pense in the maintenance and extension <strong>of</strong> the traveling library system,<br />

7 and there is hereby annually appropriated from any funds in the state
