SEC. 2524-a35. Appeal tribunal -when territory all in one county.<br />

1 If the territory described in the petition for dissolution lies wholly<br />

2 in one county, the county board <strong>of</strong> such county shall hear the said ob-<br />

3 jections at the time and place fixed by the county superintendent, and<br />

4 within five days after submission there<strong>of</strong> shall approve or dismiss the><br />

5 petition, as in its judgment will be for the best interests <strong>of</strong> all con-<br />

6 cerned, which shall be final.<br />

SEC. 2524-a36. Appeal tribunal when territory in different counties.<br />

1 If the territory described in the petition for dissolution lies in<br />

2 more than one county, the county superintendent with whom the peti-<br />

3 tion is filed shall fix the time and place and call a joint meeting <strong>of</strong> the<br />

4 members <strong>of</strong> all the county boards <strong>of</strong> education <strong>of</strong> the counties in which<br />

5 any territory described in the petition lies, to act as a single board for<br />

6 a hearing <strong>of</strong> the said objections, and a majority <strong>of</strong> the members <strong>of</strong> the<br />

7 county board <strong>of</strong> education <strong>of</strong> the different counties in which any part<br />

8 <strong>of</strong> the corporation lies, shall constitute a quorum for hearing said<br />

9 objections and it shall approve or dismiss the petition, which shall be<br />

10 final.<br />

SEC. 2524-a37. Interested parties not to act as judges.<br />

1 No member <strong>of</strong> a county board <strong>of</strong> education who lives or owns land<br />

2 within the territory described in the petition for dissolution shall take<br />

3 any part in hearing the objections for dissolution.<br />

SEC. 2524-a38. Special election called—time.<br />

1 If the petition for dissolution is approved, the county superin-<br />

2 tendent with whom such petition is filed shall call a special meeting in<br />

3 such school corporation, by giving notice by one publication in a news-<br />

4 paper published in the school corporation; or if none be published<br />

5 within the corporation, then in a paper published in the nearest town<br />

6 in any county in which any part <strong>of</strong> the corporation is located.<br />

SEC. 2524-a39. Judges <strong>of</strong> election.<br />

1 The president and secretary and one person appointed by the<br />

2 county superintendent, shall act as judges and they shall serve without<br />

3 pay. If any judge fail to appear at the proper time, his place shall<br />

4 be filled by the judges present.<br />

SEC. 2524-a40. Canvass and return <strong>of</strong> vote—expense.<br />

1 The judges <strong>of</strong> election shall count the ballots, make return to and<br />

2 deposit the ballots with the county superintendent, who shall enter the<br />
