SEC. 2524-alO. Special election called—time.<br />

1 When the boundaries <strong>of</strong> the territory to be included in a proposed<br />

2 school corporation have been determined as herein provided, the county<br />

3 superintendent with whom such petition is filed shall call a special elec-<br />

4 tion in such proposed school corporation within thirty days from the<br />

5 date <strong>of</strong> the final determination <strong>of</strong> said boundaries, by giving notice by<br />

6 one publication in the same newspaper as previous notices concerning<br />

7 it have been published, which publication shall be not less than five nor<br />

8 more than ten days prior to the election. No notice for an election<br />

9 shall be published until the time for appeal has expired; and, in the<br />

10 event <strong>of</strong> an appeal, not until the same has been disposed <strong>of</strong>.<br />

SEC. 2524-all. Judges <strong>of</strong> election—qualifications.<br />

1 The county superintendent shall appoint the judges for such elec-<br />

2 tion and such judges shall be qualified electors <strong>of</strong> the territory <strong>of</strong> the<br />

3 proposed school corporation as determined by the county superintend-<br />

4 ent or board <strong>of</strong> education, and they shall serve without pay. If any<br />

5 judge fails to appear at the proper time, his place shall be filled by the<br />

6 judge or judges present.<br />

SEC. 2524-al2. Separate vote in case <strong>of</strong> urban territory.<br />

1 When it is proposed to include in such district a school corporation<br />

2 containing a city, town or village with a population <strong>of</strong> two hundred or<br />

3 more inhabitants, the voters residing upon the territory outside the<br />

4 limits <strong>of</strong> such school corporation shall vote separately upon the prop-<br />

5 osition to create such new corporation.<br />

SEC. 2524-al3. Separate vote in case <strong>of</strong> large territory.<br />

1 When it is proposed to include in such district a school corporation<br />

2 which contains an area <strong>of</strong> more than sixteen sections and which main-<br />

3 tains a central school, the voters residing in the territory within the<br />

4 limits <strong>of</strong> said school corporation shall vote separately upon the prop-<br />

5 osition to create such new district.<br />

SEC. 2524-al4. Separate ballot boxes.<br />

1 The judges <strong>of</strong> election shall provide separate ballot boxes in which<br />

2 shall be deposited the votes cast by the qualified electors from their<br />

3 respective territories.<br />

SEC. 2524-al5. Canvass and return <strong>of</strong> vote.<br />

1 The judges <strong>of</strong> election shall count the ballots, make return to and<br />

2 deposit the ballots with the county superintendent, who shall enter the
