3 psychopathic hospital or at the general hospital <strong>of</strong> the college <strong>of</strong> medi-<br />

4 cine <strong>of</strong> the state university <strong>of</strong> <strong>Iowa</strong>, the medical director <strong>of</strong> the said<br />

5 state psychopathic hospital is hereby authorized and directed to have<br />

6 the body prepared for shipment in accordance with the rules and regu-<br />

7 lations prescribed by the state board <strong>of</strong> health for shipping such<br />

8 bodies ; and it shall be the duty <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Iowa</strong> state board <strong>of</strong> education<br />

9 to make arrangements for the embalming and such other preparation<br />

10 as may be necessary to comply with said rules and regulations, and<br />

11 for the purchase <strong>of</strong> suitable caskets. The state shall pay, to the state<br />

12 psychopathic hospital, out <strong>of</strong> any money in the state treasury not other-<br />

13 wise appropriated, the cost <strong>of</strong> the casket, the embalming, and all other<br />

14 expenses incurred in preparing the body for shipment, and, in addi-<br />

15 tion thereto, the cost <strong>of</strong> transportation from <strong>Iowa</strong> City, <strong>Iowa</strong>, to the<br />

16 place where the said patient lived at the time when he was committed<br />

17 or taken to the said state psychopathic hospital; said expenses to be<br />

18 paid in accordance with the provisions <strong>of</strong> section twenty-three hun-<br />

19 ~dred seventy-three <strong>of</strong> the compiled code. In the event that the said<br />

20 person is a committed private patient, it shall be the duty <strong>of</strong> the county<br />

21 auditor <strong>of</strong> the proper county to proceed to collect all <strong>of</strong> such expenses,<br />

22 in accordance with the provisions <strong>of</strong> section twenty-three hundred sev-<br />

23 enty <strong>of</strong> the compiled code.<br />

SECTION 2396-al. Permanent annual appropriations.<br />

1 There is hereby appropriated to the <strong>Iowa</strong> state college <strong>of</strong> agricul-<br />

2 ture and mechanic arts, out <strong>of</strong> any money in the state treasury not<br />

3 otherwise appropriated, the sum <strong>of</strong> nine hundred forty thousand dol-<br />

4 lars annually hereafter for the following purposes :<br />

5 Permanent collegiate support fund $505,000.00<br />

6 Summer session 20,000.00<br />

7 Two year and four year courses in home eco-<br />

8 nomics for homemakers and teachers 20,000.00<br />

9 Subcollegiate courses in agriculture, home<br />

10 economics, and engineering 54,000.00<br />

11 Contingent fund, repairs, and minor im-<br />

12 provements 46,000.00<br />

13 Library, books and periodicals 5,000.00<br />

14 Maintenance and improvement <strong>of</strong> public<br />

15 grounds 10,000.00<br />

18 and for,<br />

19 Winter short courses in agriculture, home<br />

20 economics and engineering and trade<br />

21 school work 9,500.00<br />
