3 psychopathic hospital or at the general hospital of the college of medi-
4 cine of the state university of Iowa, the medical director of the said
5 state psychopathic hospital is hereby authorized and directed to have
6 the body prepared for shipment in accordance with the rules and regu-
7 lations prescribed by the state board of health for shipping such
8 bodies ; and it shall be the duty of the Iowa state board of education
9 to make arrangements for the embalming and such other preparation
10 as may be necessary to comply with said rules and regulations, and
11 for the purchase of suitable caskets. The state shall pay, to the state
12 psychopathic hospital, out of any money in the state treasury not other-
13 wise appropriated, the cost of the casket, the embalming, and all other
14 expenses incurred in preparing the body for shipment, and, in addi-
15 tion thereto, the cost of transportation from Iowa City, Iowa, to the
16 place where the said patient lived at the time when he was committed
17 or taken to the said state psychopathic hospital; said expenses to be
18 paid in accordance with the provisions of section twenty-three hun-
19 ~dred seventy-three of the compiled code. In the event that the said
20 person is a committed private patient, it shall be the duty of the county
21 auditor of the proper county to proceed to collect all of such expenses,
22 in accordance with the provisions of section twenty-three hundred sev-
23 enty of the compiled code.

STATE COLLEGE OF AGRICULTURE AND MECHANIC ARTS.
SECTION 2396-al. Permanent annual appropriations.
1 There is hereby appropriated to the Iowa state college of agricul-
2 ture and mechanic arts, out of any money in the state treasury not
3 otherwise appropriated, the sum of nine hundred forty thousand dol-
4 lars annually hereafter for the following purposes :
5 Permanent collegiate support fund $505,000.00
6 Summer session 20,000.00
7 Two year and four year courses in home eco-
8 nomics for homemakers and teachers 20,000.00
9 Subcollegiate courses in agriculture, home
10 economics, and engineering 54,000.00
11 Contingent fund, repairs, and minor im-
12 provements 46,000.00
13 Library, books and periodicals 5,000.00
14 Maintenance and improvement of public
15 grounds 10,000.00

18 and for,
19 Winter short courses in agriculture, home
20 economics and engineering and trade
21 school work 9,500.00
22 Veterinary practitioners' courses 2,500.00
23 Engineering experiment station 15,000.00
