CHAPTER 4.<br />

INSTITUTION FOR FEEBLE MINDED.<br />

SECTION 1943. Admission <strong>of</strong> women.<br />

1 All feeble-minded women who are residents <strong>of</strong> the state <strong>of</strong> <strong>Iowa</strong><br />

2 may be admitted to the institution for feeble-minded children at Glen-<br />

3 wood.<br />

SEC. 1945. Admission <strong>of</strong> men.<br />

1 All feeble-minded men who are residents <strong>of</strong> the state <strong>of</strong> <strong>Iowa</strong>,<br />

2 may be admitted to the institution for feeble-minded children at Glen-<br />

3 wood.<br />

SEC. 1951. Support.<br />

1 For the support <strong>of</strong> the institution, there is appropriated out <strong>of</strong><br />

2 any money in the state treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum<br />

3 <strong>of</strong> twenty-one dollars monthly for each inmate therein supported by<br />

4 the state, counting the actual time such person is an inmate and so<br />

5 supported. Upon the presentation to the state auditor <strong>of</strong> a sworn<br />

6 statement <strong>of</strong> the average number <strong>of</strong> inmates supported in the institu-<br />

7 tion by the state for the preceding month, he shall draw his warrant<br />

8 upon the state treasurer for such sum.<br />

CHAPTER 4-A.<br />

CARE OF FEEBLE MINDED IN HOSPITAL FOR EPILEPTICS.<br />

SECTION 1951-al. Conditions under which persons entitled to<br />

care.<br />

1 Feeble-minded persons entitled to admission or subject to com-<br />

2 mitment to the institution for feeble minded at Glenwood may be<br />

3 admitted or committed to the state hospital and-colony for epileptics<br />

4 at Woodward whenever said institution at Glenwood is overcrowded<br />

5 with inmates and the facilities are inadequate to care for those<br />

6 received at said institution.<br />

SEC. 19Bl-a2. Rules governing admissions or commitments.<br />

1 Admissions or commitments <strong>of</strong> feeble-minded persons to said hos-<br />

2 pital for epileptics shall be granted or made under the laws and rules<br />

3 governing admissions and commitments to said institution for feeble<br />

4 minded.<br />
