6 seventeen hundred eighty-three-a sixteen <strong>of</strong> this supplement, or to in<br />

7 any way assist or be interested in procuring applicants for permits as<br />

8 herein provided. Any such firm, person, company or corporation vio-<br />

9 lating the provisions <strong>of</strong> this section, shall forfeit their license granted<br />

10 under this chapter.<br />

SEC. 1783-a26. Violations—penalty.<br />

1 Any person who shall violate any <strong>of</strong> the preceding provisions <strong>of</strong><br />

2 this chapter, or any <strong>of</strong> the rules <strong>of</strong> the commission legally promul-<br />

3 gated, or who shall hinder or attempt to hinder the commission or<br />

4 any duly authorized agent or <strong>of</strong>ficial there<strong>of</strong> in the discharge <strong>of</strong> his<br />

5 duty, shall be fined in a sum not less than one hundred dollars nor<br />

6 more than five hundred dollars, or in default there<strong>of</strong> shall be impris-<br />

7 oned not less than thirty nor more than one hundred fifty days.<br />

CHAPTER 18.<br />

USE AND DISPOSAL OF DEAD ANIMALS.<br />

SECTION 1794. Transportation <strong>of</strong> dead animals—driving upon<br />

premises without consent—disinfection.<br />

1 Any person, firm or corporation holding a license under the pro-<br />

2 visions <strong>of</strong> this chapter may haul and transport the carcasses <strong>of</strong> hogs<br />

3 and other animals that have died from disease, except those prohib-<br />

4 ited by the commission <strong>of</strong> animal health, in a covered wagon bed or<br />

5 tank which is water-tight and is so constructed that no drippings or<br />

6 seepings from such carcasses or hogs can escape from such wagon<br />

7 bed or tank.<br />

8 Such wagon bed or tank or vehicle used for conveying such car-<br />

9 casses, shall not be driven into any farmer's yard or on his premises<br />

10 unless first obtaining his permission to do so, and when loaded, all<br />

11 vehicles used for such purpose shall be driven directly to place <strong>of</strong><br />

12 disposal unless by permission as above stated and for additional car-<br />

13 casses.<br />

14 After unloading at such place <strong>of</strong> disposal, he shall immediately<br />

15 cause to be disinfected, such wagon bed, tank or vehicle, together<br />

16 with all canvassing and coverings, the outer clothing <strong>of</strong> persons who<br />

17 have handled such carcasses together with the wheels, and the feet<br />

18 <strong>of</strong> the horses or mules used to draw such vehicles, with a solution <strong>of</strong><br />

19 not less than one part <strong>of</strong> cresol dip to four parts <strong>of</strong> water or some<br />

20 equally effective disinfectant.<br />

21 Said carcasses shall not be removed from said wagon bed, tank<br />

22 or vehicle except at the place <strong>of</strong> final disposal.<br />

SEC. 1795. Dead bodies—duty to dispose <strong>of</strong><br />

1 It shall be unlawful for any person caring for or owning live stock<br />

2 or swine that have died to allow the carcasses to lie about the fields,
