CHAPTER 14.<br />

COMMISSION OF ANIMAL HEALTH.<br />

SECTION 1729-al. Term <strong>of</strong> <strong>of</strong>fice.<br />

1 The term <strong>of</strong> <strong>of</strong>fice <strong>of</strong> all members <strong>of</strong> the commission <strong>of</strong> animal<br />

2 health hereafter appointed shall be four years. The term <strong>of</strong> <strong>of</strong>fice <strong>of</strong><br />

3 all members whose term expires in nineteen hundred twenty-two shall<br />

4 be extended for one year or until June thirtieth, nineteen hundred<br />

5 twenty-three.<br />

SEC. 1730. Compensation—expenses.<br />

SEC. 1733. Assistants—supplies.<br />

1 The commission <strong>of</strong> animal health is hereby empowered to appoint<br />

2 such assistants as may be required, and to purchase such supplies and<br />

3 materials as may be necessary from the funds provided in this chapter.<br />

4 The commission is further empowered to appoint one or more veteri-<br />

5 narians in each county as assistants, and fix the compensation there<strong>of</strong><br />

6 which may be collected <strong>of</strong> and paid by the owner <strong>of</strong> the stock inspected<br />

7 by said veterinarians. Said veterinarians are hereby authorized to<br />

8 perform the work provided for in chapter fifteen <strong>of</strong> this title under<br />

9 the direction <strong>of</strong> the commission <strong>of</strong> animal health, and shall be furnished<br />

10 by said commission with the necessary supplies and materials to carry<br />

11 out the provisions <strong>of</strong> chapter fifteen <strong>of</strong> this title, and the commission<br />

12 and assistants herein provided for are empowered to administer oaths<br />

13 or affirmations to any appraisers appointed under chapter fifteen <strong>of</strong><br />

14 this title.<br />

SEC. 1734. Appropriation.<br />

1 It is hereby declared that the carrying out <strong>of</strong> the provisions <strong>of</strong><br />

2 this section and sections seventeen hundred thirty-two, seventeen hun-<br />

3 dred thirty-five to seventeen hundred thirty-nine, inclusive, seventeen
