10 declaration shall be given by posting same at the court house in each<br />

11 county <strong>of</strong> the state and the provisions <strong>of</strong> this chapter shall apply to<br />

12 such plants from and after thirty days from the posting <strong>of</strong> said notice.<br />

SEC. 1532-a3. Labeling agricultural seed.<br />

1 All agricultural seed <strong>of</strong>fered or exposed for sale, or sold in package<br />

2 or wrapped form for seeding purposes shall be labeled on the package<br />

3 or container as provided in sections fifteen hundred thirty-two-a four<br />

4 and fifteen hundred thirty-two-a five <strong>of</strong> this supplement, and in addi-<br />

5 tion thereto shall have printed on the label prescribed in said sections :<br />

6 1. The approximate percentage by weight <strong>of</strong> the purity <strong>of</strong> the<br />

7 seed.<br />

8 2. The approximate total percentage by weight <strong>of</strong> weed seed.'<br />

9 3. The name <strong>of</strong> each kind <strong>of</strong> seeds or bulblets <strong>of</strong> noxious weeds<br />

10 which are present, singly or collectively, as follows :<br />

11 a In excess <strong>of</strong> one seed or bulblet in each five grams (approxi-<br />

12 mately one-fifth ounce) <strong>of</strong> timothy, redtop, tall meadow oatgrass,<br />

13 orchard grass, crested dogstail, Canada bluegrass, Kentucky bluegrass,<br />

14 fescues, brome grass, perennial and Italian ryegrass, western<br />

15 ryegrass, crimson clover, mammoth clover, red clover, white clover,<br />

16 alsike clover, sweet clover, alfalfa, and all other grasses and clover<br />

17 not otherwise classified.<br />

18 b One in twenty-five grams (approximately one ounce) <strong>of</strong> millet,<br />

19 rape, flax, and other agricultural seeds not specified in "a" or "c" <strong>of</strong><br />

20 this subsection.<br />

21 c One in one hundred grams (approximately four ounces) <strong>of</strong><br />

22 wheat, oats, rye, barley, buckwheat, vetches, and other agricultural<br />

23 seeds as large or larger than wheat.<br />

24 4. The approximate percentage <strong>of</strong> germination <strong>of</strong> such agricul-<br />

25 tural seeds, together with the month and year said seed was tested<br />

26 and, if corn, the county and state where grown.<br />

SEC. 1532-a4. Labeling <strong>of</strong> certain mixed seeds.<br />

1 Mixtures <strong>of</strong> alsike and timothy, alsike and white clover, redtop<br />

2 and timothy, alsike and red clover, <strong>of</strong>fered or exposed for sale or sold<br />

3 as mixtures in package or wrapped form for seeding purposes and in<br />

4 lots <strong>of</strong> ten pounds or more shall be labeled on the package or container<br />

5 as to the quantity, percentage <strong>of</strong> weed seed present, the name <strong>of</strong><br />

6 vendor, in the manner prescribed for pure agricultural seed and in<br />

7 addition the label shall contain the following specific items:<br />

8 1. The fact that such seed is a mixture.<br />

9 2. The name and approximate percentage by weight <strong>of</strong> each kind<br />

10 <strong>of</strong> agricultural seed present in such mixture in excess <strong>of</strong> five per cent<br />

11 by weight <strong>of</strong> the total mixture.<br />

12 3. The name <strong>of</strong> each kind <strong>of</strong> seeds or bulblets <strong>of</strong> noxious weeds,<br />

13 which are present singly or collectively in excess <strong>of</strong> one seed or bulblet<br />

14 in each fifteen grams (approximately three-fifths ounce) <strong>of</strong> such mix-<br />

15 ture.<br />

16 4. The approximate percentage <strong>of</strong> germination <strong>of</strong> each kind <strong>of</strong>
