5 and shall be paid out only upon written orders, duly authenticated<br />

6 by the signature <strong>of</strong> the president and secretary-treasurer <strong>of</strong> said board<br />

7 <strong>of</strong> examiners and by the <strong>of</strong>ficial seal <strong>of</strong> said board.<br />

8 The fund so created shall be used for the payment <strong>of</strong> the com-<br />

9 pensation <strong>of</strong> the members <strong>of</strong> the board <strong>of</strong> examiners which is hereby<br />

10 fixed at fifteen dollars per day for each day actually spent in the peril<br />

formance <strong>of</strong> their duties and their actual expense <strong>of</strong> travel while<br />

12 engaged in <strong>of</strong>ficial business, and the incidental expense <strong>of</strong> the board<br />

13 for supplies required in order to enable it to perform its duties. No<br />

14 further appropriation shall be made for any expenses or compensation<br />

15 <strong>of</strong> said board <strong>of</strong> examiners, and if said fund in the hand <strong>of</strong> the treas-<br />

16 urer <strong>of</strong> state shall be insufficient, at any time, to pay said compensa-<br />

17 tion and expenses <strong>of</strong> said board <strong>of</strong> examiners for any regular meeting<br />

18 <strong>of</strong> said board as herein provided for, the fund on hand, if any, shall<br />

19 be first applied to the payment <strong>of</strong> said expenses <strong>of</strong> said board, and<br />

20 the balance <strong>of</strong> said fund, if any, shall be apportioned and paid to said<br />

21 board <strong>of</strong> examiners pro rata, which shall be in full payment <strong>of</strong> the per<br />

22 diem and traveling expenses <strong>of</strong> said examiners for any such regular<br />

23 or special meeting.<br />

24 At the end <strong>of</strong> each year, if there shall be a surplus <strong>of</strong> said fund<br />

25 in the hands <strong>of</strong> the treasurer <strong>of</strong> state, exceeding five hundred dollars,<br />

26 it shall be covered into the treasury <strong>of</strong> state, and on the thirtieth day<br />

27 <strong>of</strong> June in each year thereafter. The funds created by this section<br />

28 shall remain in the hands <strong>of</strong> the treasurer <strong>of</strong> state, and the same used<br />

29 from time to time for the maintenance <strong>of</strong> the board <strong>of</strong> examiners,<br />

30 as provided in this chapter.<br />

SEC. 13S6-a31. Misdemeanors—revocation <strong>of</strong> license.<br />

1 Any person who shall practice or attempt to practice chiropractic<br />

2 or who shall use the title <strong>of</strong> chiropractor, or any word or title having<br />

3 a tendency to induce any person to believe that he is a chiropractor,<br />

4 without having first complied with the provisions <strong>of</strong> this chapter, or<br />

5 shall be guilty <strong>of</strong> any fraud, deception, or false pretense in securing<br />

6 or attempting to secure a license as a chiropractor, shall be guilty <strong>of</strong><br />

7 a misdemeanor, and shall be punished by a fine <strong>of</strong> not less than three<br />

8 hundred dollars, nor more than five hundred dollars and shall pay the<br />

9 costs <strong>of</strong> prosecution, and be committed to the county jail until such<br />

10 fine and costs are paid.<br />

11 If any person holding a license to practice under this chapter shall<br />

12 be convicted <strong>of</strong> a misdemeanor, as hereinbefore defined, or <strong>of</strong> prac-<br />

13 ticing contrary to the provisions <strong>of</strong> this chapter, or shall be convicted<br />

14 <strong>of</strong> any felony, his license shall at once stand revoked and shall furnish<br />

15 no protection thereafter against prosecution for practicing or attempt-<br />

16 ing to practice chiropractic without a license. It is hereby declared<br />

17 to be the special duty- <strong>of</strong> county attorneys to enforce the provisions<br />

18 <strong>of</strong> this chapter within their respective counties.<br />
