6 Chiropractors shall, subject to the limitations <strong>of</strong> this chapter, be<br />

7 entitled to all the rights and privileges <strong>of</strong> physicians and surgeons<br />

8 and shall be subject to all the duties and obligations prescribed by<br />

9 the statutes <strong>of</strong> this state in so far as the same are not inconsistent<br />

10 with the provisions <strong>of</strong> this chapter. Every chiropractor shall place<br />

11 on all signs used by him, and display prominently in his <strong>of</strong>fice the<br />

12 word "chiropractor",, _. "<br />

SEC. 1326-a21. Board <strong>of</strong> examiners—composition.<br />

1 For the purpose <strong>of</strong> examining applicants for license as chiroprac-<br />

2 tors, there is hereby created a board <strong>of</strong> chiropractic examiners, which<br />

3 shall be appointed by the governor, and shall be composed <strong>of</strong> three<br />

4 members who are fully equipped and qualified chiropractors.<br />

SEC. 1326-a22. Tenure <strong>of</strong> board members—vacancies—rules.<br />

1 The term <strong>of</strong> <strong>of</strong>fice <strong>of</strong> the membership <strong>of</strong> the board <strong>of</strong> chiropractic<br />

2 examiners shall commence within thirty days from date <strong>of</strong> the taking<br />

3 effect <strong>of</strong> this chapter, and shall continue for three years, provided<br />

4 that the term <strong>of</strong> <strong>of</strong>fice <strong>of</strong> one member shall expire in one year, one in<br />

5 two years and the other in three years and one member annually there-<br />

6 after, provided, however, the first board shall meet as soon as con-<br />

7 venient after their appointment and organize by electing a president<br />

8 and secretary-treasurer and annually thereafter during the life <strong>of</strong> said<br />

9 board ; and. shall adopt rules and regulations to govern the making <strong>of</strong><br />

10 applications and manner <strong>of</strong> conducting examinations which shall be<br />

11 printed in pamphlet form, and thereafter one copy shall be furnished<br />

12 to any person on applying for such pamphlet, and shall adopt the<br />

13 forms to be used in the business <strong>of</strong> the board and an <strong>of</strong>ficial seal.<br />

14 Any vacancies occurring in the membership <strong>of</strong> the board <strong>of</strong> exam-<br />

15 iners shall be filled by appointment in the same manner and from the<br />

16 same classes as is provided for by the creation <strong>of</strong> the board. No such<br />

17 appointment shall be made <strong>of</strong> anv person who has not been continu-<br />

18 ously engaged in the practice <strong>of</strong> chiropractic within the state <strong>of</strong> <strong>Iowa</strong><br />

19 for the two years next preceding such appointment.<br />

SEC. 1326-a23. Time and place <strong>of</strong> holding examinations.<br />

1 The board <strong>of</strong> examiners shall hold regular sessions for examina-<br />

2 tions <strong>of</strong> candidates for examination and license to practice chiroprac-<br />

3 tic, and the transaction <strong>of</strong> such other business as may properly come<br />

4 before it, commencing on the first Monday <strong>of</strong> February, July and<br />

5 October in each year at the capitol building in the city <strong>of</strong> Des Moines,<br />

6 and it is hereby made the duty <strong>of</strong> the custodian <strong>of</strong> said building to<br />

7 furnish the board with a suitable room in which to hold its sessions.<br />

SEC. 1326-a24. Nature <strong>of</strong> examinations—licenses—record—fees.<br />

1 The board shall conduct written examinations in anatomy, physi-<br />

2 ology, symptomatology and diagnosis, hygiene and sanitation, chem-<br />

3 istry, histology, pathology, and principles <strong>of</strong> chiropractic, and shall<br />

4 further require each candidate for license to give a clinical demon-
