A Disastrous Boiler Explosion.
A short time ago a boiler exploded in Xew York city, destroying a large amount
of property, killing five men instantly, and severely injuring twelve others, two of
whom died from their injuries a short time afterwards. Owing to its location, in the
midst of the city, this explosion attracted more attention than such accidents usually

do. and the daily papers devoted considerable space to it. Most of our leaders will
therefore be already familiar, in a general way, with the facts of the explosion.
The accident occurred shortly after the noon hour, and the men, who were at work
in various parts of the building, were buried under falling walls without the least warn-
