(1) As shown in Figure 1, the major importers of packaging machinery in electronic
sector are Germany, Italy, and Japan. Nonetheless, this figure does not
necessarily reflect the overall situation in the trade, since the five interviewees
are the top five Chinese enterprises. In fact, small and medium-sized electronic
enterprises tend to use domestic packaging machinery or equipment modeling
on foreign one because the package for electronic products do not rely very
much on technology.
