CONDITIONS OF ENTRY<br />

1. All entries to be printed on entry form enclosed.<br />

2. Entry fees must accompany the entry form otherwise the entry will not be accepted.<br />

3 Entry forms must be completed and signed personally by the exhibitor who will agree<br />

to comply with and submit to the rules <strong>of</strong> the show.<br />

4. 75% <strong>of</strong> Entry fees will be refunded n presentation <strong>of</strong> a Doctors or Veterinary Certificate<br />

5. All entries to be registered with The <strong>Welsh</strong> <strong>Pony</strong> and <strong>Cob</strong> <strong>Society</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>New</strong> <strong>Zealand</strong> (Inc). in either<br />

the Purebred Stud Book or the Partbred Register and in the case <strong>of</strong> foals, to be eligible for<br />

registration.<br />

6. In all classes where applicable the name <strong>of</strong> the pony, date <strong>of</strong> birth, sire, and dam and stud book<br />

number shall be given on the entry form. Those stallions and geldings over three (3) years with<br />

temporary registration numbers will not be eligible for entry. Ponies registered as geldings must be<br />

gelded. Stallions must be fully registered and not on temporary colt papers.<br />

7. Foals under three weeks <strong>of</strong> age must not be exhibited.<br />

8. When an animal has been entered and catalogued in any class the substitution <strong>of</strong> another animal will<br />

not be permitted. Unless permission has been approved by the Committee before the show day.<br />

9 Entrants not present at the beginning <strong>of</strong> the class will not be admitted for judging<br />

10. The judge’s decision will be final.<br />

11. All stallions and colts two years and over must wear a bit.<br />

12. All stallions and colts one year and over must be stabled.<br />

13. Foals to be led at all times by a separate handler.<br />

14. The responsibility for accuracy <strong>of</strong> the description or pedigree and for the eligibility <strong>of</strong> animals to<br />

compete rests with the exhibitor.<br />

15. Ponies/<strong>Cob</strong>s must be three years and over in ridden and lead rein classes.<br />

16. The committee at its absolute discretion may refuse an entry or cancel any entry already accepted or<br />

decline to admit to the show grounds or remove any animal, exhibitor or person from the said<br />

grounds.<br />

17. The committee will not be responsible for any accident, loss or damage that may be caused to or<br />

suffered by any animal, person or property.<br />

18. The committee reserves the right to make any alterations to the programme or postpone or cancel the<br />

show as it sees fit.<br />

19. The committee reserves the right to amalgamate or divide any class where necessary.<br />

20. Purebred ponies must not be plaited in the in-hand and purebred section.<br />

21. All JUNIOR HANDLERS seven years and under MUST AT ALL TIMES have an Adult supervisor<br />

accompany them who is not exhibiting in the same class<br />

22 Lead Rein Riders must be at least 3 (three) years <strong>of</strong> age.<br />

23 Safety Standard Approved Safety Helmets must be worn at all times when mounted and by all\<br />

JUNIOR HANDLERS<br />

24 In the Lead Rein Classes the Ponies ‘Lead Rein’ must be attached to the Noseband ONLY<br />

25 Classes WILL NOT be delayed if the exhibitor has two classes running concurrently.<br />

26 PROTESTS. All protests must be in writing and be lodged with the Secretary within 10 minutes and<br />

must be accompanied by a deposit <strong>of</strong> $50 which shall be refunded only if the protest is upheld.<br />

27 Novice Broodmare’ in the led section, is one that has not won any more than three (3) first ribbons<br />

in a broodmare class at a Breed Show.<br />

28 ‘Open Broodmare’ in the led section is one that has won four (4) or more first ribbons in a<br />

broodmare class at a Breed Show.

Please place all soiled bedding in designated Manure Boxes.<br />

A Charge <strong>of</strong> $20.00 per box will be charged to any competitor who does not clean out their stall<br />
