CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
1. All entries to be printed on entry form enclosed.
2. Entry fees must accompany the entry form otherwise the entry will not be accepted.
3 Entry forms must be completed and signed personally by the exhibitor who will agree
to comply with and submit to the rules of the show.
4. 75% of Entry fees will be refunded n presentation of a Doctors or Veterinary Certificate
5. All entries to be registered with The Welsh Pony and Cob Society of New Zealand (Inc). in either
the Purebred Stud Book or the Partbred Register and in the case of foals, to be eligible for
registration.
6. In all classes where applicable the name of the pony, date of birth, sire, and dam and stud book
number shall be given on the entry form. Those stallions and geldings over three (3) years with
temporary registration numbers will not be eligible for entry. Ponies registered as geldings must be
gelded. Stallions must be fully registered and not on temporary colt papers.
7. Foals under three weeks of age must not be exhibited.
8. When an animal has been entered and catalogued in any class the substitution of another animal will
not be permitted. Unless permission has been approved by the Committee before the show day.
9 Entrants not present at the beginning of the class will not be admitted for judging
10. The judge’s decision will be final.
11. All stallions and colts two years and over must wear a bit.
12. All stallions and colts one year and over must be stabled.
13. Foals to be led at all times by a separate handler.
14. The responsibility for accuracy of the description or pedigree and for the eligibility of animals to
compete rests with the exhibitor.
15. Ponies/Cobs must be three years and over in ridden and lead rein classes.
16. The committee at its absolute discretion may refuse an entry or cancel any entry already accepted or
decline to admit to the show grounds or remove any animal, exhibitor or person from the said
grounds.
17. The committee will not be responsible for any accident, loss or damage that may be caused to or
suffered by any animal, person or property.
18. The committee reserves the right to make any alterations to the programme or postpone or cancel the
show as it sees fit.
19. The committee reserves the right to amalgamate or divide any class where necessary.
20. Purebred ponies must not be plaited in the in-hand and purebred section.
21. All JUNIOR HANDLERS seven years and under MUST AT ALL TIMES have an Adult supervisor
accompany them who is not exhibiting in the same class
22 Lead Rein Riders must be at least 3 (three) years of age.
23 Safety Standard Approved Safety Helmets must be worn at all times when mounted and by all\
JUNIOR HANDLERS
24 In the Lead Rein Classes the Ponies ‘Lead Rein’ must be attached to the Noseband ONLY
25 Classes WILL NOT be delayed if the exhibitor has two classes running concurrently.
26 PROTESTS. All protests must be in writing and be lodged with the Secretary within 10 minutes and
must be accompanied by a deposit of $50 which shall be refunded only if the protest is upheld.
27 Novice Broodmare’ in the led section, is one that has not won any more than three (3) first ribbons
in a broodmare class at a Breed Show.
28 ‘Open Broodmare’ in the led section is one that has won four (4) or more first ribbons in a
broodmare class at a Breed Show.

$20 .00 for First Ridden Classes 87 to 95 inclusive
BOXES & COVERED YARDS: $15 00 per box or covered yard per day to be paid with entries
Please place all soiled bedding in designated Manure Boxes.
A Charge of $20.00 per box will be charged to any competitor who does not clean out their stall
