SUMMARY:<br />
This work was carried out because of the rise in the number of neonatal diarrhea<br />
cases in goat and sheep farms in the Izmir province. Fecal samples and rectal swabs from<br />
lambs and goat kids which were at most 45 days old, were chosen according to a random<br />
sampling scheme. The 211 samples collected were evaluated with virological,<br />
bacteriological and parasitological methods in seperate laboratories. As a result, E.coli,<br />
Cryptosporidium spp., Eimeria spp. were detected as enteropathogens within the work area<br />
but no Rotavirus or Coronavirus was found. % 3.79 of E.coli strains were found to have<br />
an enteropathogenic quality.<br />
