ABSTRACT:<br />
This Project was aimed to investigate the presence of bovine respiratory system disease<br />
complex caused by viruses using serological techniques in Samsun district where the disease<br />
complex implies great economical losses. The relationship between viral agents and important<br />
haemotological parameters (total leukocyte, total erythrocyte, haemoglobin, haematocrit,<br />
differential leukocyte and trombocyte) determined by cell counter, blood gases and acute<br />
phase proteins will be determined. For this purpose, a total of 400 cattle; 200 healthy and 200<br />
cattle with bovine respiratory system disease comlex from Samsun district will be blood<br />
sampled and in addition swab samples from diseased cattle will also be collected. Serum<br />
samples will be tested to determine antibodies against Bovine HerpesvirusTip1 (BHV-1),<br />
