(24) "Crisis Diversion <strong>Services</strong>" mean the services authorized and provided<br />

according to OAR 411-320-0160 that are intended to maintain an individual<br />

at <strong>home</strong> or in the family <strong>home</strong> while an individual is in emergent status.<br />

Crisis diversion services may include short-term residential placement<br />

services indicated on an individual's <strong>Support</strong> <strong>Services</strong> Brokerage Plan of<br />

Care Crisis Addendum, as well as additional support as described in an<br />

Individual <strong>Support</strong> Plan.<br />

(25) "Department" means the Department of Human <strong>Services</strong> (<strong>DHS</strong>). The<br />

term "Department" is synonymous <strong>with</strong> "Division (SPD)".<br />

(26) "<strong>Developmental</strong> Disability" means a neurological condition that<br />

originates in the developmental years, that is likely to continue, and<br />

significantly impacts adaptive behavior as diagnosed and measured by a<br />

qualified professional as described in OAR 411-320-0080.<br />

(27) "Emergent Status" means an individual has been determined to be<br />

eligible <strong>for</strong> crisis diversion services according to OAR 411-320-0160.<br />

(28) "Employer-Related <strong>Support</strong>s" mean activities that assist individuals<br />

and, when applicable, their family members <strong>with</strong> fulfilling roles and<br />

obligations as employers as described in the Individual <strong>Support</strong> Plan.<br />

<strong>Support</strong>s to the employer include but are not limited to:<br />

(a) Education about employer responsibilities;<br />

(b) Orientation to basic wage and hour issues;<br />

(c) Use of common employer-related tools such as job descriptions;<br />

and<br />

(d) Fiscal intermediary services.<br />

(29) "Entry" means admission to a Department-funded developmental<br />

disability service provider.<br />

(30) "Environmental Accessibility Adaptations" mean physical adaptations<br />

that are necessary to ensure the health, welfare, and safety of the<br />
