and policies such as gender budgeting ,
gender mainstreaming in national policies
and planning; review various laws and
recommended amendments to many of the
laws with the objective of promoting equality
and to amend discriminatory provisions;
address crimes against women

The objectives of this Policy are to:
create an environment for the full
development of women through
positive economic and social
policies; enable them to realise their
full potential, ensure equal access to

participation involvement of both
men and women, mainstreaming
a gender perspective in the
development processes; eliminating
discrimination and all forms of
violence against women and girl
children.
