It aims to: provide institutional mechanisms<br />

<strong>and</strong> policies such as gender budgeting ,<br />

gender mainstreaming in national policies<br />

<strong>and</strong> planning; review various laws <strong>and</strong><br />

recommended amendments to many of the<br />

laws with the objective of promoting equality<br />

<strong>and</strong> to amend discriminatory provisions;<br />

address crimes against women<br />

The objectives of this Policy are to:<br />

create an environment for the full<br />

development of women through<br />

participation in decision making<br />

in social, political <strong>and</strong> economic<br />

participation involvement of both<br />

men <strong>and</strong> women, mainstreaming<br />

a gender perspective in the<br />

development processes; eliminating<br />

discrimination <strong>and</strong> all forms of<br />

violence against women <strong>and</strong> girl<br />
