The Committee’s functions include: assist
the Prime Minister in making laws and
policies on women, cooperating with relevant
agencies in supervising and promoting the
implementation of legislation and policies
on women; working with relevant agencies
to carry out communication and educational
activities regarding the implementation of
legislation and policies on women and
CEDAW; preparing national reports on the
implementation of CEDAW.

The Strategy sets out five concrete
objectives: eliminate all forms of
discrimination against women;
promote gender equality at work,
education, health care; increase the
quality and efficiency of women’s
participation in political, economic,

The functions of the Commission include:
assist the Government in formulating national
policy guidance and strategic plans of action
in order to promote the advancement of
women in every aspect; acts as the Focal Point

policy on promoting gender equality as well
as on eliminating forms of discrimination
against Women.
