Membership<br />
<strong>The</strong> <strong>Chinati</strong> <strong>Foundation</strong> is very<br />
grateful for the annual membership<br />
support it receives from over five<br />
hundred local, national, and international<br />
individuals and businesses.<br />
<strong>The</strong>ir <strong>con</strong>tributions are an important<br />
source of revenue that helps ensure<br />
the museum’s <strong>con</strong>tinued stability and<br />
growth.<br />
Basic membership for individuals<br />
and families start at $100 ($50 for<br />
students and senior citizens). Member<br />
benefits include free museum admission<br />
at all times; discounts on<br />
publications, posters, and <strong>Chinati</strong><br />
Editions; the annual museum<br />
newsletter; advance notice of <strong>Chinati</strong><br />
programs; and free or reduced<br />
admission to special events. Additional<br />
premiums are offered at higher<br />
membership levels. Please see the<br />
membership form on page 47 for a<br />
complete benefit listing.<br />
Each year an internationally recognized<br />
artist creates a limited edition<br />
multiple exclusively for <strong>Chinati</strong> members<br />
<strong>con</strong>tributing $1000 or more.<br />
Past editions were created by Jack<br />
Pierson, Karin Sander, and Jeff Elrod.<br />
This year’s multiple was created<br />
by London-based artist Cornelia<br />
Parker. Her edition of a photograph,<br />
called Dust Breeding (on Judd), is an<br />
image of scanned dust and insects<br />
collected from Judd’s aluminum<br />
works at the <strong>Chinati</strong> <strong>Foundation</strong>.<br />
Parker’s work has been exhibited<br />
widely, and was included in shows<br />
at the Serpentine Gallery, Heyward<br />
Gallery, the 22 nd International Biennial<br />
of São Paulo, and the Carnegie<br />
International 2000, among others.<br />
A solo exhibition of her work was<br />
shown at Boston’s Institute of Contemporary<br />
Art in 1999. Parker was<br />
shortlisted for the Tate Gallery’s<br />
Turner Prize in 1997, and was selected<br />
for a residency at ArtPace in<br />
San Antonio that same year.<br />
Artist Christian Marclay is now<br />
preparing the next multiple, to be<br />
distributed to <strong>Chinati</strong>’s new and renewing<br />
upper level members in<br />
2002. <strong>The</strong> <strong>Chinati</strong> <strong>Foundation</strong> is<br />
very thankful for the generous <strong>con</strong>tributions<br />
of Jeff Elrod, Christian Marclay,<br />
Cornelia Parker, Jack Pierson,<br />

Cornelia Parker y <strong>con</strong>siste en<br />
un <strong>con</strong>junto de fotografías intitulado<br />
Dust Breeding (on Judd). Se trata de<br />
una imagen de polvo escaneado sobre<br />
insectos recogido de las obras de Judd<br />
en aluminio en la Fundación <strong>Chinati</strong>.<br />
Las obras de Parker han sido exhibidas<br />
en muchos lugares, entre ellos la Galería<br />
Serpentine, la Galería Heyward, el<br />
XXII Bienio de Sao Paulo y el Carnegie<br />
International 2000. Se realizó una exhibición<br />
de sus obras como expositor<br />
