Rees Jones is acknowledged as one of the most renowned golf course designers in the industry. His award
winning courses are known for their beauty and playability. Rees Jones’ courses have arguably hosted more
major and professional tournaments than any other living golf course architect. His skill and experience in
preparing courses for the U.S. Open earned him the moniker “The Open Doctor.”
Rees Jones’ entry into the game of golf was inevitable. As the son of legendary golf course designer, Robert
Trent Jones, Sr., Rees would accompany his father while surveying courses, learning literally from the ground
up. After earning a bachelor’s degree from Yale University and studying at Harvard University’s Graduate School
of Design, Rees became a principal at Robert Trent Jones, Inc. in 1964. Rees launched his own design firm in
1974. Since that time, Rees Jones has designed or redesigned over 170 golf courses in his career, including
U.S. Open, PGA Championship, Ryder Cup, Walker Cup and President’s Cup venues.

As Senior Vice President & Senior Designer, Greg has been involved in a number of award winning and championship
designs since joining Rees Jones, Inc. in 1984. These designs include three U.S. Open courses (Congressional Country
Club’s Blue Course, Bethpage Black Golf Course and Torrey Pines, South Course) and three original designs recognized
by Golf Digest Magazine as “Best New” designs (Atlantic Golf Club, Sandpines Golf Club and Nantucket Golf Club).
At Rees Jones, Inc., Greg is responsible for international and domestic business development, contract negotiations
and all phases of site evaluation, design development and construction inspection.
Greg is also a past President of the American Society of Golf Course Architects (ASGCA) and has served on the
organization’s Executive Committee and Board of Governors.

STEVE WEISSER

In his role as Vice President & Senior Designer, Steve is responsible for business development, site evaluation and
design development through construction inspection. Steve is a member of the American Society of Golf Course
Architects (ASGCA).
Since joining the staff of Rees Jones, Inc. in 1991, Steve has been involved in the design of many award winning original
golf courses including the Golf Club at Briar’s Creek (winner of Golf Digest’s “Best New” design). He also has extensive
experience working with courses which have hosted some of golf’s most prestigious tournaments. These designs include
Hazeltine National Golf Club (PGA Championship and Ryder Cup), the Lower Course at Baltusrol Golf Club (U.S. Open
and PGA Championship) and Course 3 at Medinah Country Club (PGA Championship and Ryder Cup).

Bryce was one of three golf course architects recently named by a panel of Golf Magazine editors as “Golf’s 40 under
40: The most influential people in golf under 40 years old.”
A member of the American Society of Golf Course Architects (ASGCA), Bryce joined Rees Jones, Inc. in 2000. As Vice
President & Senior Designer, Bryce is responsible for business development, site evaluation and design development
through completion of construction. He has been involved in the design or redesign of numerous awarding winning
facilities throughout the United States, Mexico, the Caribbean and Asia. These designs include the Highlands Course
at Atlanta Athletic Club (PGA Championship), Bellerive Country Club (PGA Championship) and the Blue Course at
The Royal Montreal Golf Club (President’s Cup).
