Condition 

for participation: Proof of membership by valid national Federation passport with 

ETU/WTF membership. All competitors have to proof their age and 

nationality by presenting their passport or identification card at the 

weigh-in. 

Those who are not recognized as adults (underaged) by law in their own 

country must submit a passport or identification card together with 

a written consent (liability declaration) at registration signed by 

parents or lawful guardians, accepting the participation and all parts of 

the official invitation. 

VISA: The DTU will help the participating teams for entry visas if requested 

Deadline: January, 15 th 2011. 

Age groups: Juniors male and female: born in 1994 to 1997 

Seniors male and female: born in 1996 or later 

Juniors, who were born in 1994 – 1996 can compete as a junior or as a 

senior. Starting in both categories (juniors and seniors) is not possible.

You will get your password after the registration on the internet. Please 

register the name of your club and your nation and your personal e-mail. 

Then a password will be sent to the e-mail account. 

Change of 

weightclasses: Changing weightclasses after March, 7 th 2011 is only possible for a fee 

of € 25,00 at registration at the Sporthalle. 

With the registration the competitors as well as the federations accept all 

points of the official invitation. 

Attention: 

The same Protector – Scoring – System (PSS) which will be used at 

the World Championships in Korea will come into use at the 

German Open 2011 

Only headgear manufactured by our actual Sponsor Adidas are allowed 

during the competition. This Equipment is to be borrow at the Organizing 

Committee. Passport or ID- Card is necessary.

Coaches: Each coach accompanied by at least four competitors receives free 

admission (limit five coaches). Coaches can enter the competition area 

only with proper sport shoes and proper tracksuit. 

Before weigh-in all coaches must have the Special ID-Cards for their 

whole team. Weigh-in and entry to the gymnasium only with Special ID- 

Cards. 

Special ID-Cards for all competitors and coaches! You can get these 

at the Organizing Committee. 

Liability: All competitors of the German Open participate at their own risk. The 

registration application implies that the competitors agree to assume 

responsibility for themselves and to release all others from all and any 

liability which may directly or indirectly result from the German Open. 

Competition rules: The current competition rules of the DTU/WTF are valid. 

Competition mode: K.O. - system. 

With the participation accept the competitor the agreement with the 

NADA/WADA. 

Classification: Places 1 to 3 will be scored for classification of teams and nations. 

The key 6 – 3 – 1 will be used. 

Award presentation: Trophies for the places 1 for individual 

Medals for the places 2 and 3 for individual 

Trophies for the places 1 to 3 for teams and nations 

Referees: A maximum of four referees per participating nation will be admitted. 

Referees must be licensed by WTF and must send their application 

before February, 6 th 2011 to thekla.oetjens-breitenfeld@dtu.de 

List of results: The competitors agree with the announcement, that the first and last 

name, the weight category, the nation/organization and the placing in the 

list of results will be reported in the internet as well as in printed media.

Arriving by car please follow the signs near the Sporthalle Hamburg 

Coming from the freeway (Autobahn A7): 

Slip road A7 at Hamburg Stellingen and then turn right to the Kieler Straße. From the Kieler Straße 

turn left to the Sportplatzring, then go straight through Koppel, Julius-Vosseler-Straße, Vogt-Wells- 

Straße, Osterfeldstraße and Lokstedter Weg. At Lockstedter Weg turn left to Tarpenstraße, 

Rosenbrook. At Rosenbrook turn right to Deelböge, Braamkamp. At Braamkamp turn left to the 

Krochmannstraße. Follow the signs to Sporthalle Hamburg. 

Coming from the trainstation (Hamburg Hauptbahnhof): 

Take underground line 1 in direction to Ohlsdorf/Norderstedt Mitte. 

Leave the underground at the stop line 1 Lattenkamp. 

Follow the signs to Sporthalle Hamburg.

The Organizing Committee is holding an allocation of rooms in Hamburg from 11.-14. of 

march. Teams are encouraged to book their required number of rooms early to guarantee 

these prices. Hamburg is a major World attraction for culture, sport & business as such 

hotels can be in short supply especially when booking late.
