50 th Anniversary Event – Saturday, May 19 th 2012 – 10 AM - 4 PM
Mark your calendar and save Saturday, May 19 th for a special Historic Buildings Tour.
As of April 30 th , the buildings on the tour include the following:
1. Van Wyck Homestead Museum – Starting Point for Tours.
2. Piano, Piano Wine Bar formerly a bank and later Fishkill Town Hall circa 1857.
3. Paggi Building – mid 19 th century residence.
4. Maurer House – early 19 th century residence.
5. Paula's Stone Cottage Wine Bar, corner Main & Broad (Original Fishkill Library).
6. First Reformed Church (Old Dutch Church) – Established 1716.
7. Trinity Episcopal Church.
8. Larry Paggi Engineering – corner Bedford & Broad Streets.
9. St. Mary’s Chapel.
10. Van Geldern House.
11. Carriage House.
12. Brownell House – Kitchen in the rear is believed to be what was
part of Three-Tun Tavern shown on Revolutionary War Map.
13. Hendrick Kip House circa 1753.
14. Brinckerhoff House / Van Voorhis House (Lomola) – circa 1738.
15. Hoose House – circa 1845.
16. McHoul Funeral Home (Shillelagh – 1803) Tours after 1 pm.
17. Madam Brett Homestead – Built in 1709 – oldest house in Dutchess County.
18. Former Telephone Building – 291 Main St. Beacon.
19. Round House in Beacon – after 4:00 pm (Last building on the Tours).
As you can see we have quite a list of buildings to see. Sign up for your tickets in advance
of the date. The form is enclosed below. All participants must pick up their map and
booklet at the Van Wyck Homestead Museum the day of the tour – Saturday, May 19th.
No one will be allowed in the buildings without their ticket.
Please complete the Registration Form below. “Donation” is $20 per FHS Member;
$25 for non-members if payment is received by Tuesday, May 15 th . $30 on May 19 th .
50 th Anniversary Committee
Please Note: The 50 th Anniversary Committee has arranged for a special booklet to be
printed with a sketch / photo of each building on the “Historic Buildings Tour” plus some
background info about each house, church or building. The Fishkill Historical Society
is selling Ads in the booklet as a fundraiser to help preserve our antique artifacts. If you
wish to place an Ad, please fill out the Ad form attached below, and submit it with your
“50 th Anniversary Donation” by May 10 th . A simple one line Ad is just $5.00.

Fishkill Historical Society’s
Historic Buildings Tour
May 19 th , 2012
The Fishkill Historical Society is holding a Fishkill Historic Buildings Tour scheduled
for Saturday, May 19 th , 2012 from 10 am to 4 pm. (Some Buildings are in Beacon also).
We are producing an official Tour Booklet and selling Ads. Your Ad will also appear in the
50 th Anniversary booklet for our October dinner.
The proceeds from the Tour Booklet will be used by the Fishkill Historical Society to
purchase archival systems to preserve its historical collections in a controlled environment
for future generations. If you want to place an Ad in the booklet, time is of the essence.
Please return the completed form and payment by May 10, 2012.
