Aerial Reconnaissance of the Fraser River
This project was intended to give an historical record of the present foreshore development along the Fraser
River. The video record includes the Fraser River to McBride and some of the major tributaries such as the
Thompson, Nechako, Stuart and the Chilcotin rivers. Some of the video data was GIS-referenced and is
presently formatted under MapInfo. The flying was done during low-flow periods to assist the Department of
Fisheries and Oceans to determine the location of sandbars and good fish habitat or any potential impacts on
fisheries habitat.
