some of the country’s best musicians for FREE in the restaurant along with our 

’Blues Club’ menu of Southern Specialities. 

Thursday 18th August - Ian Hunt & Andy Winfield 

Ian comes from a line of great British guitarists that made their name during the folk and 

acoustic boom period of the seventies, with Ian in particular establishing himself as one 

of the finest of finger style guitarists in the country. 

Thursday 25th August - Fran McGillivray & Mike Burke 

"McGillivray and Burke have been playing for the best part of 30 years, 

in the blues band So Long Angel and as acoustic folk-blues guitarists. 

Much of what they do is very impressive. 

Thursday 1st September - Big Joe Louis & Alan Glen 

“...one of the few white bluesmen whose voice can be compared with the black 

singers...and when I add his exceptional talent as a guitarist, you can understand 

my anticipation when I put this CD into my player...and I was not disappointed!”

Whitley 

The popular American Jazz and Blues Bible Downbeat Magazine said about Diana Braithwaite 

and Chris Whiteley "It's a rare and good thing when two talented performers join forces". 

Audiences, critics, and blues lovers all over North America and Europe seem to agree and 2011 

sees Braithwaite and Whiteley team up with Bob Hall who's critically acknowledged as Britain's 

finest blues and boogie pianist to play authentic, vintage blues.

Thursday 9th June - Nigel Bagge & Eddie Armer 

The acoustic duo Bagge & Armer whose performances 

are described as a soulful blend of folk ballads and blues 

music, play a mixture of original songs and classics from 

the pens of some of the great writers of contemporary 

roots music. Nigel’s warm vocal style and distinctive guitar 

playing is intertwined with Eddie’s sensitive harmonica 

work…. it is rare to hear the chromatic harmonica played 

Thursday 16th June - Giles Hedley Duo 

Giles has been singing and playing roots blues across UK and 

Europe since the sixties, on harmonica - his trademark is 

simultaneous nose-and-mouth harmonica playing, and bottleneck 

and lap steel guitars, acoustic and electric. Giles is, in the 

words of blues magazine Blues in Britain, " a mainstay of 

British blues" or as Blues Matters puts it, "one of Britain’s 

foremost roots and country blues performers". 

Thursday 23rd June - Alan Glen & Papa George 

Papa George - ‘A powerful Deep Blues player...a spectacular 

blues artist. He’s got power and nuance, he’s a master entertainer 

and pure player’ Bob Margolin . Tonight he teams up with Alan 

Glen to present a mixture of classics and self penned numbers.

Thursday 19th May - Andy Broad & Chris Shaw - Blue Graffiti 

The duo take Andy Broad’s raw syncopated blues and combine it 

with Chris Shaw’s Jazz drenched sax playing to create a lively 

and varied sound. Imagine if Robert Johnson or Lightning Hopkins 

had played with John Coltrane! The set comprises a whole 

range of blues based material from Robert Johnson classics 

played on slide guitar to foot stomping boogies . 

Thursday 26th May - Tom Rodwell & 

Coleen Davies 

New Zealand based Tom Rodwell and Colleen Davies take a back 

to basics approach to the Blues with a refreshingly organic, 

experimental approach to music. Tonight, touring the UK - he 

performs with his Partner Colleen Davies. 

Thursday 2nd June - The Delta Ladies 

Take two brilliant entertainers, add an amazing range of instruments 

and a stunning array of songs and you have The 

DELTA Ladies. ‘Lady’ Diana Stone and Miss Vicky Martin. Two 

lovely leggy London ladies of somewhat doubtful origin. They 

bring you an evening of songs and music including just about 

everything.
