that it snows.<br />

8. Your dog will be happy if you feed him Doggy Chow.<br />

If you feed your dog Doggy Chow, then he will be happy. All dogs that<br />

eat Doggy Chow are happy.<br />

9. Hiking will be easier if you have hiking boots.<br />

If you have hiking boots, then hiking will be easier. All people with<br />

hiking boots can hike easier.<br />

10. All squares have four sides of equal length and four right angles..<br />

If a figure has four sides of equal length and four right angles, then it<br />

is a square. A figure is a square if it has four sides of equal length<br />

and four right angles.<br />

Write the converse of each statement.<br />

11. If a figure is a triangle, then it has three sides.<br />

If a figure has three sides, then it is a triangle.<br />

12. If you find a penny, then you will have good luck.<br />

If you have good luck, then you found a penny.<br />

13. If you ride your bicycle recklessly, then you can get hurt.<br />

If you get hurt, then you rode your bicycle recklessly.<br />

14. If two distinct lines intersect, then their intersection is one point.<br />

If the intersection of two lines is one point, then the lines are distinct.<br />

15. If your cat purrs, then it is contented.<br />

If your cat is contented, then it purrs.<br />
