Designed open pit mining of the South<<strong>br</strong> />

Mining District will be realized by the<<strong>br</strong> />

“best case” variant or so-called pushback<<strong>br</strong> />

excavation.<<strong>br</strong> />

Limit open pit for the aforementioned<<strong>br</strong> />

initial techno-economic parameters is the<<strong>br</strong> />

open pit with a factor of income equal to<<strong>br</strong> />

one, or the open pit No.36. Since the open<<strong>br</strong> />

pits from No.34 to No.38 are positive,<<strong>br</strong> />

according to the “best“ variant of excavation,<<strong>br</strong> />

with the existing data taken into optimi<strong>za</strong>tion,<<strong>br</strong> />

the open pit No.33, with recovery<<strong>br</strong> />

factor of 0.94, was selected for<<strong>br</strong> />

construction the open pit that includes the<<strong>br</strong> />

balance reserves.<<strong>br</strong> />

This open pit was selected due to the<<strong>br</strong> />

spatial constraints, on one hand, and the<<strong>br</strong> />

other hand, due to the security, regarding to<<strong>br</strong> />

a possibility that the investments are not<<strong>br</strong> />

fully defined. The assumed profit, obtained<<strong>br</strong> />

in the software package Whittle for the<<strong>br</strong> />

variant of open pit No.33, would provide<<strong>br</strong> />

the additional investments, while the economic<<strong>br</strong> />

value of deposit remains positive.<<strong>br</strong> />

Constructed final contour of open pit in<<strong>br</strong> />

the software package Gemcom has 41<<strong>br</strong> />

benches. The highest bench is E+590, and<<strong>br</strong> />

the lowest bench is E-10. The designed<<strong>br</strong> />

pushback assumed excavation with main<<strong>br</strong> />

parameters given in Table 2. View of the<<strong>br</strong> />

final open pit contour is shown in Figure 2.<<strong>br</strong> />
