MINE ON CONSTRUCTION THE NEW FACILITIES FOR DEVIATION<br />
THE KRIVELJ RIVER **<br />
Abstract<br />
This paper gives an overview of development the Veliki Krivelj Mine, located within the Mining<br />
and Smelting Basin Bor, in the next forty year period and an analysis of this development impact<br />
on construction the facilities for relocation the Krivelj River.<br />
Based on carried out analysis, it was determined that the new facilities have to be be built as<br />
the ore mining in the Veliki Krivelj Mine could be realized smoothly and in accordance with the<br />
adopted long-term plans of the Company management.<br />

1. INTRODUCTION<br />
The major changes in the world copper<br />
production occurred primarily due to the<br />
constant increase in copper prices since<br />
2004, which also reached in 2011 the average<br />
value of 9 500 $, positively affected<br />
the copper production in the company<br />
RTB Bor.<br />
Based on the realized analyses of potentialities<br />
the deposits in Bor and Majdanpek,<br />
the management of RTB Bor has<br />
adopted a strategy of further development<br />
the mining production, which will be<br />
based on the mass exploitation of copper<br />
ore at the open pits Veliki Krivelj and<br />
Cerovo, operating within the Copper<br />
Mines Ltd. Bor (RBB ) and North and<br />
South Mining District, within the Copper<br />
Mine Majdanpek (RBM).<br />
Within the Copper Mine Veliki<br />
Krivelj, large there are two technological<br />
systems: open pit and flotation.<br />
Open Pit Krivelj is located at a distance<br />
about 4 km northeast of Bora. It was<br />
found in 1969 and it was named after the<br />
same named village, located in the vicinity<br />
of deposit.<br />
