Dall-Miles ®
Trochanter Grip & Trochanter Grip Plate
For over 20 years the Dall-Miles®
Trochanter Grip has been used in
total hip arthroplasty for trochanteric
re-attachment.
Nowadays the technique of trochanteric
osteotomy of the femur in primary
and revision total hip replacement
has evolved to include many variations.
This has increased the scope and use of
such implants.
The Dall-Miles® Trochanter Grip was
the first product of its kind to be used
for trochanteric re-attachment and it
combined the use of cerclage cable
fixation.
2
In addition to the Trochanter Grip,
a new Trochanter Grip Plate has been
developed which is indicated for use
for re-attachment of the greater
trochanter, following an extended
femoral osteotomy. The proximal
profile of the Grip Plate is identical to
that of the new Grip, whilst the distal
plate section is designed to aid secure
fracture fixation of the proximal femur.
Product Outline:
Trochanter Grip
• Low profile 4mm thickness.
• ‘Y’ shape proximal arms for improved
fixation and stability.
• 3 size options.
• For use with either 2.0mm
Non-beaded or Beaded Stainless
Steel cables.
Trochanter Grip Plate
• Low profile 4mm thickness.
• 2 proximal sizes (medium & large).
• 3 lengths for each size.
• Contoured plate section, with crimp
mechanism for cable fixation.
• Option to augment fixation with
4.5mm cortical bone screws.
• For use with either 2.0mm
Non-Beaded or Beaded Stainless
Steel cables.
Cables
The system can be used with either
2.0mm non-beaded or beaded cables.
As the pioneers in multi-filament cable
and grip fixation, the Dall-Miles®
product offering is a comprehensive
system which offers superior fatigue
strength and workability.
With more than 100 published clinical
papers demonstrating clinical
successes, the Dall-Miles® Cable
System continues to set the clinical
standard in cable fixation. No other
multi-filament cable system offers the
reassurance of so much clinical
experience.

Instrumentation
The standard Dall-Miles® instruments are used and include either the Double or Single sided cable tensioners,
