Biography:<br />
<strong>Emma</strong> is <strong>Reader</strong> <strong>in</strong> <strong>Festivals</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Event</strong>s Market<strong>in</strong>g <strong>and</strong> specialises <strong>in</strong> market<strong>in</strong>g<br />
communications, social market<strong>in</strong>g <strong>and</strong> impact studies with<strong>in</strong> the events sector. She<br />
is co-author of Innovative Market<strong>in</strong>g Communication published by Elsevier as well as<br />
Services Market<strong>in</strong>g (European Edition) with Kenyon, Hoffman <strong>and</strong> Bateson<br />
published by Cengage <strong>in</strong> 2009. <strong>Emma</strong>'s current research <strong>in</strong>terests are <strong>in</strong> the areas of<br />
experiential market<strong>in</strong>g events <strong>and</strong> social market<strong>in</strong>g us<strong>in</strong>g live events as<br />
communication media. <strong>Emma</strong> is jo<strong>in</strong>t editor of the Journal of Policy Research <strong>in</strong><br />
Tourism, Leisure <strong>and</strong> <strong>Event</strong>s <strong>and</strong> sits on the editorial board of the Journal of Arts<br />
Market<strong>in</strong>g <strong>and</strong> Tourism Today. She also chairs the Academy of Market<strong>in</strong>g special<br />
<strong>in</strong>terest group <strong>in</strong> <strong>Event</strong>s <strong>and</strong> Experiential Market<strong>in</strong>g. <strong>Emma</strong> undertakes consultancy<br />
projects for local government <strong>and</strong> other bodies that focus on the evaluation of<br />
festivals <strong>and</strong> events <strong>and</strong> social market<strong>in</strong>g though events. Her most recent<br />
