Lab 2 Working with XML<br />
Prerequisites: This lab requires the completion of lab 1.<br />
In this lab, you’ll create a fully functional Multi-Protocol gateway service that will perform various<br />
functions against a request containing an XML (SOAP) payload.<br />

2.1 Service Processing Phases<br />

When a service receives a message from a designated IP and port, a sequence of events are set into<br />
motion before the message is ultimately forwarded to its intended destination. The events are separated<br />
into three distinct phases: client-side processing, service processing, and server-side processing.<br />
