Description<br />
The Photodyne 7XT Light Source is used as a stand alone single-mode<br />
light source, or in conjunction with the Photodyne<br />
17XTG/I Power Meter, to perform a variety of measurements on<br />
fiber optic cables, splices and connectors. Applications include:<br />
Attenuation testing<br />
Return loss measurement<br />
Link conformance testing<br />
<strong>Fiber</strong> identification<br />
Rugged design for maximum durability. The Photodyne 7XT<br />
light source is housed in a sturdy metal frame covered in<br />
polyurethane that can easily handle the punishment of typical<br />
field use. Membrane switches on the control panel keep contaminants<br />
out of the unit, assuring greater long-term reliability.<br />
