Capta<strong>in</strong>: Has it been twenty years, First Mate?<br />

First Mate: It’s been twenty years. You know, those were <strong>the</strong> good old days.<br />

Capta<strong>in</strong>: They certa<strong>in</strong>ly were. Those were good ol’ days, and you kept that old slicker a long time.<br />

First Mate: I used to call you Harold.<br />

Capta<strong>in</strong>: Yes, sir, and I called you Ralph. You know, <strong>the</strong>re was no formality <strong>the</strong>n, was <strong>the</strong>re?<br />

First Mate: No, <strong>the</strong>re wasn’t any <strong>of</strong> that.<br />

Capta<strong>in</strong>: Remember when we only had ten cents to eat on for a couple <strong>of</strong> days.<br />

Capta<strong>in</strong>: That’s right.<br />

Capta<strong>in</strong>: Went <strong>in</strong>to a restaurant and bought a cup <strong>of</strong> c<strong>of</strong>fee and a couple <strong>of</strong> doughnuts.<br />

First Mate: Sure enough, I remember.<br />

Capta<strong>in</strong>: You took one doughnut and I took <strong>the</strong> o<strong>the</strong>r one, and we dumped ’em <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> same cup <strong>of</strong><br />

c<strong>of</strong>fee.<br />

First Mate: Yeah, ha-ha, and I lost m<strong>in</strong>e. Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha—<br />

Capta<strong>in</strong>: Well, First Mate, it’s certa<strong>in</strong>ly awful nice <strong>of</strong> you to hang on to that old slicker all <strong>the</strong>se<br />

years.<br />

First Mate: I’m go<strong>in</strong>g to give it back to you, Capta<strong>in</strong>.<br />

Capta<strong>in</strong>: Give it back?<br />

First Mate: I want you to fill it up.<br />

Capta<strong>in</strong>: Fill it up? What do you mean?<br />

First Mate: Well, want you to fill up <strong>the</strong> old same holes that was <strong>in</strong> it when you give it to me twenty<br />

years ago. Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha—<br />

Capta<strong>in</strong>: First Mate!<br />

First Mate: Aye, aye, Sir.<br />

Capta<strong>in</strong>: Get <strong>the</strong> Second Mate up <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> crow’s nest and get him on <strong>the</strong> lookout. Hurry it up!<br />

First Mate: Aye, aye Sir. Second Mate, up <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> crow’s nest!<br />

Second Mate: [Calls]<br />

First Mate: Seems like he sighted <strong>the</strong> provision boat, Capta<strong>in</strong>.<br />

Capta<strong>in</strong>: Provision boat, that’s f<strong>in</strong>e. Now we can get on to New York. Let’s hurry it up and get over<br />

<strong>the</strong>re.<br />

First Mate: Aye, aye, Sir. [foghorn, calliope]<br />

Capta<strong>in</strong>: The <strong>WLS</strong> <strong>Showboat</strong>, <strong>the</strong> <strong>Float<strong>in</strong>g</strong> <strong>Palace</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Wonder</strong>.<br />
