the <strong>Rehoboth</strong> beach <strong>Film</strong> <strong>Society</strong> knows the children are our future! the<br />

next generation of film fans can participate in the Festival at children’s<br />

cinema corner, which features screenings of age-appropriate children’s<br />

films, the reading corner, craft stations, play dough, a puppet theater,<br />

and of course, face painting! complimentary popcorn will be served at<br />

these movies!<br />

The first two films remind us all of the importance of<br />

manners and sharing. Join unruly dinosaurs for an<br />

unusual day of learning, recess, and show-and-tell in<br />

How Do Dinosaurs Say Go To School? A pigeon learns<br />

that finding a treasure becomes more special when it<br />

is shared in The Pigeon Wants a Hot Dog!<br />

Other films provide lessons in self-esteem and the<br />

value of friends and family. In Splat the Cat, Splat is<br />

concerned his first day at cat school will not go well,<br />

so he takes along his mouse pal, Seymour. All is well<br />

until Seymour escapes and Splat learns that cats are<br />

supposed to chase mice. A young utensil believes his<br />

life is just not cutting it—knife and chopsticks all have<br />

it so much better than he—when he is surprised to<br />

learn that his friends are jealous of his scooping skills<br />

in Spoon. A dog pretends to be someone else’s pet just<br />

to avoid a bath, but quickly learns that he misses his<br />

family in Harry the Dirty Dog.<br />

Finally, children from 1 to <strong>10</strong>0 will enjoy watching and<br />

hearing a classic ditty brought to life by the musical<br />

talents of Kevin Bacon in Wheels on the Bus.<br />

Parent(s)/guardian(s) must sign in any child attending Children’s Cinema Corner. Parents are encouraged to stay<br />

and enjoy the films and activities with their child(ren). If a parent/guardian chooses to leave a child at this event,<br />

contact information must be provided and the child must be picked up by 3:00 pm.<br />

Sussex County Reading Council, an affiliate of Diamond State Reading Association, for providing<br />
