Under most conditions this function is not required as it is performed automatically during the download, providing
that the configurations have been set as shown in section 2.1. For data which has been downloaded into a computer
that has not been configured correctly the user can choose to make the necessary configuration changes and then
re-define the laps within the data browser under the tools menu Tools / Define laps / Search laps
For data which has not been defined into laps via the lap input beacon it is possible to manually split a large piece of
data in smaller sections (laps).
The first step is to define the positions within your data for the split
points. Open your single lap of data using the data browser and
visualise this within a graph window.
From the upper menu, select Utility / Define Laps / Manual definition.
Your cursor will now change to 2 vertical bars. Use your mouse left
button to click the positions on the graph for the positions of the lap
beacon, make as many as you need.
Your graph will now show a series of vertical bars as shown here.
Note: These marks may be placed manually using the
keyboard Insert command
Press the END key to split the data into laps.
If you make a mistake, refer to section 7.13 for the facility
to restore to a single lap.
