This function will search the incoming data for a specified channel to indicate the beginning or end of lap. This
channel is typically Time or Space (lap distance).
Without this setting the start/end of lap will be decided from the second where the lap beacon signal is seen. For
comparison operations it is vital to align the compared data as accurately as possible.
Both the Time and Space channels of your logger will return to zero when the lap beacon is seen. Either may be
used to define the laps, but it is recommended that Time is used as it does not rely on any external measurement to
generate its signal. The Time should be samples at least 100Hz

browser, double click to
select your channel
Press Ok to accept changes and
close the window.
The lap definition data source also needs to be specified, select Setup / General / DataRX tab to display this
window. Double click the Lap Definition to open the sub-window
Double click to open the sub window.
Ensure that both the Ethernet and the
Real Time boxes are ticked.
Press Ok to accept
