He sang the famous Jolson song "Back in Your Own Backyard," with a particularly nostalgic quality He bounded around the floor energetically, with a long mike cord, going into the audience for "Alabamy Bound." THOSE WHO come expecting to dance to soft strains or rock may be startled to hear a "show set" between "dance sets." On Aug 18. an earl^ American dance of the 16th and 17th century will be demon strated by Fort Lernoult Militia, inviting audience participation. Traditional Polish songs and dance will be presented by Wisla during refreshment breaks. Dulcimers will be made and played by Stan Mate ma On Aug 25. square dancers are on the program. Caller Doug McKinnon and his dancers will demonstrate, inviting audience participation Matem again will be on hand with his dulcimers. GOOD OLD summertime games also will be revived Aug. 25. All ages may try jacks, hopscotch, marbles, cat s cradle, paper origami and spool art Wonderful Wednesday activities run 7-9 p.m. Reservations are not required. Each week the 1840 Columbian hand press will be printing Wonderful Wednesday mementos.
