The son of legendary psychedelic filmmaker 

Alejandro Jodorowsky (Holy Mountain, Santa 

Sangre), Adan Jodorowsky is a polyglot who sings 

in Spanish, French, and English. As a child, James 

brown taught him how to dance and george 

harrison, who was friends with his parents, gave him 

his first guitar lessons. Amador is his US debut, and 

as the name would imply the songs are romantic, 

dark, and obsessed with love (“amador” is Spanish 

for “lover”). Running the gamut from seductive 

cosmic folk to funky cabaret, Amador includes a 

collaboration with Devendra banhart and a handful 

of songs with lyrics contributed by father Alejandro.

Widely considered to be the “barbra Streisand of 

Japan,” Saori Yuki released her debut album in 

Japan in 1969 and went on to make over 30 albums 

in her 42 years. Yuki discovered Pink Martini after 

the band covered her song “Taya Tan” for their 

2007 album Hey Eugene! Most recently, she sang 

a verse of “Silent Night” in Japanese for the band’s 

hit 2010 holiday album Joy To The World. 

In honor of the year of her debut release, Saori Yuki 

partnered with Pink Martini and producer Thomas 

M. Lauderdale to create a loving tribute to the music 

released in 1969. Featuring Japanese pop hits 

alongside internationally recognized tunes like Jorge 

ben’s “Mas que nada” and “Puff the Magic Dragon,” 

1969 is a brilliant collaboration featuring Thomas M. 

Lauderdale’s magical arrangements, Pink Martini’s 

stellar musicianship, and Saori Yuki’s soaring vocals.

In an old GMC, burning Streets managed a few full US tours, multiple 

East Coast and Canadian tours, and their first journey overseas in late 

2010. Inspired by the constant inconsistencies that they encountered 

over the years, the band felt it appropriate to title this new release Sit 

Still. In support of a more mature and experienced band, the record 

was produced by marc Cannatta (ex-Far From Finished) and takes on 

a strong rock strain while grounding their punk roots. Sit Still weaves 

song after song of passionate, upbeat, punk-strewn rock songs that 

straddle unfiltered angst and crafted emotion. 2011 is indeed the year 

the streets will burn!

SKiN GRAFT Records is proud to announce its 

100 th release, the debut album from RUINS Alone. 

Originally conceived as a power trio, Japan’s RUINS 

was formed by drummer/vocalist Yoshida Tatsuya 

in 1985. Countless tours and numerous recordings 

would follow, and Tzomborgha, released in 2002 by 

Ipecac Records, would be their last full-length. 

In 2005, RUINS unveiled one last song, 

“Gwodhunqa,” for a SKiN gRAFT/Relapse Records 

co-release. In the summer of that year Yoshida took 

on the task of performing the music of RUINS 

solo, with a different guest bass player in each 

city, embarking on the “Bassist Wanted Tour.” 

From this point on, Yoshida would continue RUINS 

as a one-man act, touring as RUINS Alone—and 

was chosen by matt groening to perform at All 

Tomorrow’s Parties in May 2010. 

It’s been nearly 10 years since the last RUINS 

album was released. Now, having traveled the 

world time and time again, refining RUINS for the 

21 st century, Yoshida is ready to release the debut 

album from RUINS Alone. These 23 tracks feature 

all-new compositions as well as new recordings of 

classic RUINS songs sporting new arrangements.

Journey of One is a pinnacle live performance captured during the zenith 

of Steve Roach’s rich tribal-ambient origins of the mid-1990s. The 

music rises from the darkness, an ancient voice chants in serpentine 

ecstasy only to subside and hover next to silence, soon broken by raging 

hybrid trance grooves, didgeridoo, and mind-altering soundscapes that 

mesh to form a soundtrack for a future-primal culture. Journey of One is 

an ascent into the mystical and primordial places Roach first developed 

on Dreamtime Return, Artifacts, Origins, World’s Edge, and his 

Suspended Memories collaborations. Roach meticulously, passionately 

utilizes the electro-acoustic nature at the heart of this sound: earthy 

ferocity and multi-timbral frequencies drawn out to their fullest. The 

music shapeshifts between moods, always rushing forward, engaging 

a range of electronic and acoustic tools: analog and digital synths, clay 

water pots, butterfly cocoons and seedpod shakers, and ocarinas. 

The didgeridoos’s hoary sonic quality and a tumbling avalanche of 

hand-struck percussion further illustrate the tribal canvas.

This is music that gently rotates around its own axis in a time-suspended 

haze. The track “The Passage” originated as the blissed-out 16-minute

It would take over a decade for the composition to resurface when 

Rosenthal began work on the score for Mark A. Michaels & Patricia 

Johnson’s guided-meditation set, Ananda Nidra. “Rae,” the last ten 

minutes of the album, adds a new element to the work. Stacking the 

shimmering harmonics of long-standing Blacktape collaborator and 

violinist Vicki Richards into a sonorous cathedral dome, “Rae“ spirals 

higher and higher before fading away into a grateful silence.

Since 2005, Seattle-based Nazca lines have been piecing together 

songs that combine emotionally charged lyrics and loud post-rock/punk 

instrumentation. Founding members and guitarists Cory Alfano and 

Brett Wedeking have stuck it out through a number of lineup changes, 

and a solid roster is now in place with the addition of Andy King and 

Ryan Minchon on drums and bass, respectively. The foursome writes 

music that draws inspiration from a variety of shared influences; when 

pressed, most in the band can agree on Refused, At The Drive-In, 

and Fugazi. Nazca Lines has a punk lineage that shows initially in

Ken yokoyama is most well known as the guitarist and vocalist 

for Japanese melodic punk band hi-Standard. Fat Wreck Chords

SUNbEARS! is an indie/psychedelic/electronic 

pop duo hailing from Jacksonville, FL. Not unlike 

Wayne Coyne’s Flaming lips, their live show is not
