Compounding pharmacies are part of the soluti<strong>on</strong> in providing essential care to milli<strong>on</strong>s of<br />

patients. While regulati<strong>on</strong> at the State level can be improved, we need not to lose sight of<br />

the fact that over regulati<strong>on</strong> of the compounding pharmacy professi<strong>on</strong> could result in the<br />

denial of the very care and well being of our citizens of which this comrim-ittee is vitally<br />

interested.<br />

In summary, pharmacies, including compounding pharmacies, should c<strong>on</strong>tinue to be<br />

regulated by their State boards of pharmacy to ensure the c<strong>on</strong>tinued access of patients to<br />

the medicines they want, including bioidentical horm<strong>on</strong>es.<br />
