Lowicryl ® HM 20 Non-polar, hydrophobic, -70ºC Embedding Kit HIR7ag ............
Lowicryl ® HM kits are non-polar and are used to produce high contrast images
of completely unstained thin sections by Z-contrast. Also these HM kits are
particularly suitable for dark field observation because of their relatively low

Lowicryl ® K4M Polar Kit, hydrophilic, -35ºC embedding kit HIR7ag ................
Lowicryl K kits are polar and therefore hydrophilic. During dehydration and
infiltration specimens may be kept partially hydrated since polymerization can
occur with up to 5% water. Thus immunolabeling with polar kits results in better
preservation of structure and antigenicity and lower background labeling.

Osteo-Bed Bone Embedding Kit GH5d ........................................
Formulated for embedding large and small mineralized (undecalcified) bone specimens. Large bone
samples embedded with Osteo-Bed should be sectioned with a heavy-duty microtome. Small bone and
soft tissue should be sectioned with a microtome designed to cut plastic embedded materials. Osteo-
Bed is a methyl methacrylate-based material that can be removed from the section and allows the use
of staining procedures very much like a paraffin section. Also recommended for immunohistochemistry
procedures performed on trephines and other non-decalcified bone or soft tissues. Not water-soluble.
