These specimen identification tabs can be placed in any paraffin embedding mold, but they were<br />

designed for our Peel-A-Way ® mold system. Each individual tab measures 1cm high & 2cm in length.<br />

Each book contains 8,000 tabs.<br />

Multispecimens - Flat<br />

This mold contains 20 shaped cavities plus 8 oblong cavities 3.5mm wide in three<br />

different lengths. Mold size 113mm x17mm. Use with epoxy based resins, Araldite<br />

resins, Embed-It , Spurr Low Viscosity Embedding Kit and Ultra Low Viscosity<br />

Embedding Kit.<br />

Peel-A-Way ® Molds<br />

Constructed of polyethylene, our Peel-A-Way ® molds are disposable molds that are used with<br />

Gold Standard Mico-Cut Paraffins, PolyFin ® Paraffin and GemCut ® Paraffins and other routinely<br />

used paraffin products. These molds can be used with Tissue Freezing Media for orientation of<br />

specimens requiring exact alignment and frozen in liquid nitrogen with or without isopentane, dry<br />

ice or on a freezing stage in the cryostat. The molds will easily Peel-A-Way ® leaving a formed block<br />

with a flat surface that is ready to section, no trimming necessary. The completed blocks can be<br />

easily attached to a chuck for sectioning. Peel-A-Way ® molds can be used with GMA, MMA and<br />

epoxy resins by excluding all air during block polymerization. The mold must be covered and airtight<br />

for complete polymerization. Use with Identification Tabs (Cat. #19800A) to readily identify<br />

blocks after embedding and during storage.<br />

Peel-A-Way ® Disposable Embedding Molds Sampler Pack ........................<br />

Easy to use and saves time - Unique design will Peel-A-Way from a solidified<br />

embedded block. There is no need for trimming. Can be used with Micro-Cut paraffin,<br />

JB-4 ® , GMA, Osteo-Bed, Osteo-Bed Plus and MMA embedding resins. Especially<br />

useful for frozen sections where orientation is critical and defrosting during<br />

transfer to cryostat chuck is an issue. Creates a buffer to allow the specimen to<br />

freeze to the chuck without defrosting the base. Technical Data Sheet #433<br />
