BioMag ® Plus Superparamagnetic Particles<br />

BioMag ® Plus Superparamagnetic Particles have a large available surface<br />

area due to their irregular shape – greater than 20 times that of the<br />

same size spherical particles. BioMag ® Plus particles are approximately<br />

~1µm in size. The small size of BioMag ® Plus particles provides enormous<br />

binding capacity and fast magnetic separation for the isolation<br />

and purification of biological and non-biological molecules.<br />

other lectin/glycan-mediated processes. The BioMag ® Plus magnetic particle format provides high<br />

BioMag ® Plus Wheat Germ Agglutinin (WGA) ..................................<br />

The unique saccharide-binding properties of plant lectins, such as wheat germ agglutinin (WGA),<br />

have made them useful for the study of glycosylated proteins. Lectins have been used in cell<br />

adhesion studies, to effect lymphocyte activation, and to explore carbohydrate-based therapeutics.<br />

BioMag ® Plus Protein A Particles are superparamagnetic particles approximately 1µm in size with<br />

BioMag ® Plus Streptavidin Particles are a suspension of superparamagnetic particles approximately 1µm<br />

in size, covalently attached to streptavidin. BioMag ® Plus Streptavidin allows for capture of biotinylated<br />

oligonucleotides, proteins, dNTPs and other molecules. Provided as a suspension at ~5mg per ml.<br />
