• Significant discrepancies, deformed<br />
functionally useless feet<br />
• Discrepancies greater than 15-20cm and<br />
femoral <strong>length</strong> less than 50%<br />
• Fibular hemimelia with unstable ankle<br />
• PFFD: A/K prosthesis or BK prosthesis<br />
with Van Nes rotationplasty<br />
• Optimal age: syme amputation- end of 1yr<br />
