located at Seufert Falls.<br />

railroad bridge (Hood River Co.)<br />
Hood River Basin (Hood River Co.):<br />
1. Mainstem <strong>and</strong> tributaries not listed<br />
• Catch <strong>and</strong> release for trout May 25-Aug. 15.<br />
• Open for Chinook, adipose fin-clipped coho salmon <strong>and</strong> adipose fin-clipped steelhead<br />
Jan 1- March 31, May 25-Aug 15 <strong>and</strong> Dec. 1-31.<br />
• Use <strong>of</strong> bait is allowed.<br />
• Closed downstream from hatchery dam Aug. 16-Nov. 30.<br />
• See Columbia River Zone, page 99, for regulations concerning the area downstream<br />
from mainline railroad bridge.<br />
Note: Chinook salmon angling closed entire river. Emergency regulations opening Chinook<br />
angling may be adopted after the printing <strong>of</strong> these regulations. Up-to-date changes can be<br />
obtained by calling 1-503-947-6000 or at our internet site: www.dfw.state.or.us.<br />
• Open for adipose fin-clipped coho salmon <strong>and</strong> adipose fin-clipped steelhead all year,<br />
from mouth to mainstem confluence with the East Fork <strong>and</strong> the West Fork from the<br />
confluence with the mainstem upstream to the angling deadline 200 feet downstreem<br />
<strong>of</strong> Punchbowl Falls.<br />
• Catch <strong>and</strong> release only for trout, May 25-Oct. 31.<br />
• Restricted to artificial flies <strong>and</strong> lures when angling for trout in all tributaries <strong>and</strong> in<br />
mainstem Hood River upstream from the confluence with the West Fork.<br />
• Use <strong>of</strong> bait allowed for salmon <strong>and</strong> steelhead.<br />
• Closed.<br />

Allingham Bridge<br />
• All bull trout must be released unharmed.<br />
• Restricted to artificial flies <strong>and</strong> lures downstream from Bridge 99.<br />
• Restricted to fly angling only with barbless hooks upstream from Bridge 99 (see fly<br />
angling definition, page 8).<br />
• No angling from a floating device.<br />
2. Mainstem upstream from Allingham • Open May 25-Oct. 31.<br />
Bridge, Spring <strong>and</strong> Abbot creeks • Catch <strong>and</strong> release for all fish, including bull trout.<br />
• Restricted to fly angling only with barbless hooks (see fly angling definition, page 8).<br />
• Closed within 100 feet <strong>of</strong> Camp Sherman Bridge.<br />
• No angling from a floating device.<br />
Mill Creek <strong>and</strong> tributaries (Wasco Co.) • Catch <strong>and</strong> release for trout.<br />
Ochoco Creek upstream to Ochoco Dam • Open all year, 2 trout per day, 8 inch minimum length.<br />

• Angling restricted to artificial flies <strong>and</strong> lures.<br />
