Tualatin River (Clack./Washington Co.) • Open for trout May 25-Oct. 31, 2 trout per day, 8 inch minimum length.<br />

2. Mainstem <strong>and</strong> Tributaries upstream • Open for trout May 25-Oct. 31, 2 trout per day, 8 inch minimum length.<br />
from Hwy 47 bridge, <strong>and</strong> Tualatin River • Angling restricted to artificial flies <strong>and</strong> lures.<br />
Basin tributaries not listed<br />
Walterville Canal (McKenzie River) • Open for trout all year, catch <strong>and</strong> release only.<br />
• Angling restricted to artificial flies <strong>and</strong> lures, as per Zone Regulations.<br />
• Closed:<br />
1. Between the salmon weir <strong>and</strong> the downstream confluence with the McKenzie River<br />
(the salmon weir is approximately 1/3 mile up the canal from the McKenzie River); <strong>and</strong><br />
2. Within the Walterville bypass canal from salmon weir upstream to the McKenzie River.<br />
Willamette River:<br />
• See Health Advisory on page 20.<br />
1. Mouth upstream to Willamette Falls • Open for adipose fin-clipped coho salmon Aug. 1-Oct. 31.<br />
(including Multnomah Channel/ • Open for adipose fin-clipped Chinook salmon <strong>and</strong> adipose fin-clipped steelhead all<br />
Willamette Slough <strong>and</strong> Gilbert River) year.<br />
• 10 walleye per day, no more than 5 per day over 18 inches <strong>and</strong> only one may be over<br />
24 inches, 2 daily limits in possession.<br />
• Use <strong>of</strong> bait allowed.<br />
• Bank angling is prohibited from the east shore <strong>of</strong> the Willamette River the entire year<br />
at the “<strong>Oregon</strong> City Wall” defined as the area beginning west <strong>of</strong> Hwy 99E, at the<br />
northern-most extent <strong>of</strong> the parking area near the intersection <strong>of</strong> 8th Street <strong>and</strong> Hw y<br />
99E in <strong>Oregon</strong> City, approximately 290 feet downstream <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Oregon</strong> City/West Linn<br />
bridge (Hwy 43) <strong>and</strong> extending upstream approximately 1,715 feet to the retaining wall<br />
extending into the Willamette River at the NW corner <strong>of</strong> the Blue Heron Paper Mill.<br />
Note: Sturgeon fisheries are managed on a quota basis. Anglers should check the status<br />
<strong>of</strong> regulations prior to fishing as modifications will be made in-season if necessary to<br />
remain within catch guidelines.<br />
• Angling for sturgeon (including catch-<strong>and</strong>-release) is prohibited seven days per week<br />
from May 1-Aug. 31 from Willamette Falls downstream to the I-205 Bridge.<br />
• Anglers are restricted to one annual limit <strong>of</strong> white sturgeon combined from the Columbia<br />
River <strong>and</strong> the lower Willamette River including Multnomah Channel <strong>and</strong> the Gilbert<br />
River, even if licensed in <strong>Oregon</strong> <strong>and</strong> Washington.<br />
• Closed from 200 feet upstream from the fishway at <strong>Oregon</strong> City Falls to an imaginary<br />
line downstream from fishway described as follows:<br />
1. Beginning 54 feet below the southwesterly corner <strong>of</strong> electric plant on Black Point; then<br />
2. To the northeasterly corner <strong>of</strong> Mill A grinder room on the west side <strong>of</strong> river; then<br />
3. Straight downstream 20 feet below the grinder room arches; then<br />
4. West to the bank <strong>of</strong> the river.<br />
5. No angling from a boat while any part <strong>of</strong> the boat is inside this closed area.<br />
• Closed in the tailrace <strong>of</strong> the West Linn Paper Company <strong>and</strong> described as follows:<br />
1. Beginning at the south <strong>of</strong> the tailrace on the south bank; then<br />
2. Extending across the tailrace following the line established by the bridge across the<br />
tailrace to the north bank; then.<br />
3. In a westerly, southerly <strong>and</strong> easterly direction around the bank <strong>of</strong> the tailrace to the<br />
place <strong>of</strong> beginning.<br />
4. No angling from a boat while any part <strong>of</strong> the boat is inside the closed area.<br />
Note: Refer to General (Statewide) Regulations on page 11 for regulations covering the<br />
harvest <strong>of</strong> Pacific lamprey.<br />
2. Willamette Falls upstream to Hwy 20 • See Health Advisory on page 20<br />

• Open for adipose fin-clipped Chinook salmon <strong>and</strong> adipose fin-clipped steelhead all<br />
year.<br />
• Open for coho salmon all year.<br />
• Retention <strong>of</strong> white sturgeon allowed all year.<br />
• Use <strong>of</strong> bait allowed.<br />

Harrisburg <strong>and</strong> tributaries except for steelhead all year in the mainstem.<br />
